The Bronson 20 is constructed of powder coated steel, and boasts 19,500 BTUs of cooking power. The 300 square inches (20 X 15) of porcelain coated grilling surface produce excellent sear marks, while being easy to clean. The versatility of this pellet grill allows you to smoke at temperatures as low as 180 degrees and then crank it up to 450 degrees to sear to perfection. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake a pizza right on your grill and do not have to turn your meat, unless cooking with high temperatures or if you want even grill marks. Traeger grills feature an auto-start system that is simple and safe to use. When you turn on the grill, the auger begins to feed pellets into the firepot while the draft induction fan feeds air into it. The igniter rod is activated and glows red hot for the first four minutes to ignite the pellets in the firepot. The temperature is controlled by a digital thermostat control which allows you to choose a specific temperature that will be maintained by automatically feeding pellets as needed. The temperature inside your grill is displayed the bright red LED panel and is monitored by a resistance temperature detector probe. These cost-effective pellets burn at a rate of only 2 lbs per hour on high heat, 1 lb per hour on medium heat and only 1/2 lb per hour when smoking. The Bronson 20 pellet grill also features a sawhorse chassis and a lift bar on the side of the barrel, allowing you to easily move the grill around on the patio. The proprietary design and thick legs makes the grill more maneuverable while the large, all-terrain wheels helps the grill roll quietly.

Easy to Use; Makes the Tastiest Food!

We bought our first Bronson Traeger and loved it from the beginning. First meal was a full chicken--put it in for 90 minutes and it was the juiciest, tastiest chicken ever. And so easy to make. And smoking our food is as easy as could be. The Bronson is a great size for 2-4 people.

Worst pellet grill I've owned

This grill is nothing but problems it will be set at smoke setting and will jump to over 300 constantly then you have to take it apart and clean the fire pot wait and try again or it throws an error code I've talked to traeger and they tell me what I've already have been doing but it's every time you bbq really tired of it and getting burned just so I can finish cooking ! Do not buy!!!!!!!!!

Cooks great food, but major design flaws

Let me start by saying that this device makes incredibly tasty food, and I should probably put my Weber up for sale because I hardly use it any more. However, there are a few design flaws that are very frustrating and keep me from giving this a better review. Lid Hardware: The screws that hold the lid to the body are barely bigger than the holes in the body itself. That, and the rest of the hinges are were weak. This causes the lid to become too loose, to the point of it falling completely over on its backside after a while. I have had this unit for just under a year and I have replaced the lid twice, just for the hardware!!! The constant stress also weakens the body, so now my new lid is already sagging sagging over most of the way. Pellet Box Design: The pellet box is far too angled. It does not allow gravity to allow the pellets to fall on their own, instead they will stick to the side. Even with the box full, after a few hours i need to redistribute the pellets. There have been a few times where there was more than enough pellets to finish cooking, but the fire went out because the pellets were stuck to the side. These are very simple, cheap fixes that the Traeger engineers need to work on. If these weren't an issue, I would give this grill 5 stars, but these issues cause far too much frustration to ignore.

Even baked cakes

I started out with the Bronson 20 for my first Traeger grill and the rest is history. Love this little guy and don't let the size fool you. It's a grilling machine! I made some of my best baked cakes on this baby! It was my first smoker and it was definitely not my last! It started my passion.

Great for the price

I have really enjoyed the Bronson so far. It works well and the food always tastes great. The recipes traeger has are the best and I haven't found one I didn't like. I have only a few problems. I have a little trouble getting it up to 450 and the way the hopper is designed has a ledge that stops pellets getting to the auger even with sufficient pellets remaining.

Very Frustrated

I got this grill about Father's Day last year and enjoyed about six months of great cooking. Right around Christmas, the grill caught on fire and was un-useable. I cleaned and maintained it often so not sure what caused the fire. I contacted customer service who has been sending me parts to replace ever since. I am quite handy but replacing them has not been as easy and as quick as I was led to believe. The latest part was the hot rod. Grill is still not working. Was referred to a service dealer who did not return my phone calls. Have to say I'm disappointed. Not sure I would buy another. Haven't been able to cook in almost three months. Next question is would I recommend to a friend. Not sure at this point.

The crate / grill IS REMOVABLE Chuck

Of course it is removable! Got turned on to pellet grill by some Friends and also being OCD I don't like to cook indoor! I was a 5 Star Chef for 50 years and I must say I have never ended up with such incredible results! I am now a proud addict! Ah! Ah! Ah!

Pellet clean out

Need to know why there is no clean out for this model. Went on another site an they said you are working on it. Only have had 2 weeks. The clean out is not there because there is a grate over it that is not removable. Are you planing on fixing this? The other site said to vacuum out or use a small shovel. You can not get a small shovel between the grates. Please answer this and give us some help. Thank You. Otherwise we love.

New to Traeger Fam

Received a Bronson 20 from my Wife for Father's Day and after some trial and error have grown to love it!!! I was propane guy for years but it can't compare to the Traeger.. My only complaint is the limited amount of accessories for the Bronson. If your looking to make the jump to pellets this is the grill for you!!

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
