Stops working mid cook with no error code. Every part to include the entire hopper has been changed with the same result. This grill has ruined many meals!

I was so excited when I bought this traeger grill but I am very disappointed. It has never worked correctly since the beginning and I wish I had spent the money on anything but this Traeger. I have called several times, once talked to a girl for almost an hour, she was supposed to email me and I never heard from her. Then several other calls and of course the same walk through on the grill. They sent me new sensor, that didn't solve the problem. Next they sent me new control and switch and still not working correctly. This is the least reliable grill of any kind I have ever used. I like another reviewer am shocked at the great reviews. And if like they suggested I maybe got a lemon the Company "Traeger" should have stood by their product and replaced the entire grill. Temperature swings, turning off on it's own. Never consistent in temperature and smoke. Just so disappointed. I have gone back to my charcoal weber!

I have been grilling and smoking meat for years. In most recent years I have solely used natural charcoal (I haven't use gas in over 10 years), but maintaining the right temperature has always been time consuming and difficult. Just got my Trager and I am 4 hours into and 8 hour smoking 2 racks of ribs. It much easier to cook with my Traeger and so far the quality is just as good as when I slaved hour my old smoker for hours. The Traegar was also very easy to assemble. I have read complaints about quality, I haven't had any - worked great right out of the box. I also read about issues with temperature control. It should be noted that this is not a oven or gas grill, so the temperatures will fluctuate a bit - that grilling and smoking.

Don't buy this grill! I tried to smoke a brisket at the 225 setting. The temperature ranged from 160 to over 270. I also got a LEr error twice. I cleaned out the firepot as directed but it didn't help. I got this a a gift but wished my fiancé didn't spend so much on a defective grill.

by understanding its limits, part of the learning curve, you will enjoy this BBQ. I don't smoke my fish in it, some do but I like a cold smoker for that. This is my way of getting that wood smoked brisket or whole chicken. Ribs to die for!! Gas grills are good for steaks but leave it to the traeger for the big cuts. Leaves a smoke ring that will rival any BBQ. I have had mine for 8 years and have had to replace the hot rod three times, the digital thermostat once. I am not complaining at all.

This is by far the least reliable grill of any kind I have ever used. I do not understand the glowing reviews these grills get. Mine has a mind of its own. When set to smoke the temp swings almost 100 degrees. Have spent hours on phone with customer service only to have the same issues after wasting lots of pellets. Changing the "P" setting causes it to go out.. Bottom line, this grill sucks!!!!

I have owned many smokers over the years. Bought my Lil Tex in 2012. My upgrades were a fold down shelf and an Ortech T100 digital controller. By far the best smoker I have ever owned. People complain about burn outs etc. Then you find out it is almost always operator error. In four years I have never had this problem. I clean mine out ever other smoke session or so and it keeps on making us happy. Thank you Traeger!!!

I purchased my Traeger a few months ago after deciding never again would I wasted good money on another propane grill. Honestly one of the best investments Ive ever made for my home. My very first cook was a couple of New York strips and while not really knowing what to expect my steaks turned out pretty dang good considering they were a tad bit overdone for what I like. Since then I have perfected my cooking times with the steaks and every time theyre consistent. Steaks are a breeze now no flare ups no crispy edges and always cooked perfectly. Ive never been able to smoke a brisket to see my life its always been undercooked overlooked and either way like chewing a Goodyear. I even tried an electric smoker and still after severalattempts couldnt get it right. So with some hesitation I tried my first brisket two weeks ago on my Traeger and not only was it good it was one of the best Ive ever had. I thought that perhaps it was beginners luck so I did another this past weekend and again it was cooked perfectly and was awesome. Believe me if I can successfully smoke two briskets in a row and get the same great results both times anyone can become a backyard chef! Absolutely a great product. My only regret is that I didnt spend the extra couple hundred and get the big boy.

I have owned grill for less then a year there's no doubt it's a grilling /smoking machine. It has let me down on four occasions since new. Every component has failed but the hot rod some twice. Happy with it when it works. Service team is great so far. Call them don't email! I'm just concerned when the warranty is up I'm Gona need a part time job to buy parts for it or scrap it!

Questions & Answers
Hi, Melissa. On this grill, you could cook 2 turkeys at once, but they should be on the smaller side in order to fit and cook properly. If you're referring to the Traeger Tailgater Portable Grill, then you can only fit 1 turkey at a time. Here's the Traeger Tailgater: https://www.bbqguys.com/traeger/tailgater-pellet-grill-on-cart-blue

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
