About Tagwood BBQ

Tagwood grills were created by born and raised Argentinians with a focus on food, family and culture. Their Argentine grills embody the spirit of open fire cooking and togetherness. Crafted from durable 304 stainless steel for a unique and user-friendly cooking experience, every grill from Tagwood features multiple cooking surfaces that allow grillers to use various cooking techniques.

Santa Maria Argentine Grill

Tagwood Santa Maria Grills are Argentine-style grills crafted from premium materials that are expertly styled and built to cook directly over an open flame. Fill the firebox with any combination of wood and charcoal, then adjust the height of the grilling surface to control the temperature with the included crank. This allows you to raise and lower the grilling area closer or further away from the fire to manage your heat. All Santa Maria grills come with a built-in bottle opener and 304 stainless steel S-shaped meat hooks for hanging all your favorite delicious cuts of meat.

What is the difference between a Santa Maria grill and an Argentine grill?

The Santa Maria is an Argentine grill, except without a brasero, which means there is no separate area for burning wood. A Santa Maria grill is designed so everything is cooked directly over the fire.

Where are Tagwood Santa Maria grills made?

Tagwood grills are crafted in the USA with materials sourced globally from Argentina and other regions.

What is the difference between a Santa Maria and Beast grill?

The Santa Maria is built with 4 separate grilling areas that total 714 square inches and is made of 304 stainless steel. The Beast boasts a massive 1,700 square inches of cooking space and is crafted of painted steel. Both grills feature height adjustable main grates to give you control over the grilling temperature, but the Beast features an additional swivel grate, height-adjustable clamp grill, front and back doors, and a peaked roof to keep your barbecue safe from rain and inclement weather.

How large is the Tagwood Beast grill?

The Beast grill is 61 inches wide and has a total grilling area of 1,700 square inches—612 inches of that on the main grilling area, with a secondary grilling area of 1,088 square inches.

Can you use wood in a Santa Maria or Beast grill?

Both the Santa Maria and Beast grill can be fueled by wood, charcoal, or a combination. All you have to do is fill the firebox with your favorite fuel and get cooking!
