Outdoor Propane Fire Pits & Fire Bowls
Any host will tell you there is something special about an outdoor fire pit. Its ability to dazzle guests and inspire a feeling of ambience and connectedness—both with your companions and nature—makes it the perfect addition to your outdoor living space.
Propane gas fire pits are easy to use and require none of the legwork typically required with a wood-burning fire pit. Propane fire pits are designed with safety in mind. An automatic shut-off valve and a regulated flow of gas ensure safe and simple operation. Because there’s no wood combusting, you'll never need to worry about a rogue ember or spark flying out from your fire pit.
Propane outdoor fire pits are also stylish. In addition to the various materials available to choose from, like aluminum, stone, stainless steel, and even wood (the actual firebox is non-combustible, don't worry), propane fire pits come in many shapes and sizes to accommodate any outdoor space and its specific aesthetic or decor—like a rectangular fire pit table that can be used for dining, or a shorter square table perfect for placing your cocktail on a cool evening. These fire pits also allow for further customization with filler like lava rocks or fire glass.
Obviously, you won't need to chop, buy, or stack firewood, but did you know that propane fire bowls come equipped with an electronic ignition? That means you'll be able to light your propane fire pit with the push of a button—either on your unit, a remote control, or a home automation system. Electronic ignition is that easy. Plus, your pit will usually relight if your flame is extinguished, say, by a gust of wind.
How long will a 20lb propane tank last on a fire pit?
The duration of a standard propane tank (20lbs) depends on many factors, including flame setting, the size and efficiency of the fire pit, and environmental conditions. However, a rough estimate is anywhere between 10 and 20 hours when a fire is used on a moderate flame setting.
Can you use a propane fire pit under a covered patio?
We do not recommend using a propane fire pit under a covered patio. It is crucial to follow the manufacturer's instructions and guidelines for safe usage and placement of propane fire pits, which typically require an open-air setting with proper ventilation.
Do propane fire pits give off much heat?
How much heat and warmth a propane fire pit gives off is related to the fire pit's BTU rating. Propane fire pits can be as low as 10,000 BTUs, to upwards of 100,000 BTUs! Without a doubt, a propane fire pit will produce great heat, however, the heat you'll feel is also dependent on factors like wind, weather, and fire pit design.
