E 670 6 years old

I have had Weber's for 30 years and this E 670 was something I wanted for a long time . The old one is 20 year sold and still works like new. The 670 is a wonderful BBQ. I have it for at least 6 years now it is easy to maintain and keep clean and I use it at least once a week and in even -20 C temperatures. I like the infra red burner - I get chicken started on direct heat turn to indirect heat and put on the infrared burner. The chicken gets crispy with no flare up and I turn it once. The chicken is juicy and delicious. Steak to perfection every time with controllable sear marks. Roasts, sausages , pork chops beautifully done. It is robust reliable and easy to clean. I have had a knob break in -20 c but the replacement is easy to get and inexpensive.

15 years and still going strong

I can't say enough about my satisfaction with the Weber Summit. It has cooked perfectly for 15 years even though I was pretty abusive to my grill and use it a lot. I pre-season and salt just about everything I put on my grill, which is bad for a grill. I only used the cover for the first couple of years because it blew away in a windstorm (it was off of the grill at the time...oops!). After 15 years, I was just about to buy another Summit, then realized many of the expensive parts were still under warrantee...yes, after 15 years, so I decided to rebuild it. To my absolute surprise, the cook box and lid were still under warrantee, so it only cost me $380 in grill parts for the rebuild. Weber customer service was awesome in helping me determine the parts I would need. They shipped the parts for free and I had everything within a few days. After a detailed cleaning, repainting the frame and reassembling, it looks and cooks like new again. I promise to take better care of it this time around, but it's poised for another solid 15 years of grilling bliss. Amazing product quality and customer service. See pictures!

GREAT BBQ!!!

I bought this BBQ about 5 years ago. It is still in great condition and it cooks very well. I cool on it once or twice per week. I love this thing. The best of all is the customer service from Weber. They are a first class company!

So Far so Good

my 3rd Weber and my main reason for the Summit was the rotisserie feature. I have used it twice already since my purchase a few weeks ago and it is perfect. very pleased overall with the quality. my only gripe and hopefully Weber reads this. we need to make the wheels a little bigger and better suited for all terrains

Only Weber

I just recently purchased a Summit S-670. It is replacing a Summit 670 THAT IS 30 YEARS OLD! I rebuilt my first one once over the years and it STILL works. I now have 2 at least for a little while. As the saying goes, when it come to grills "there is Weber and there is all the rest'

Best Grill I've Ever Owned

Purchased at least 7-8 years ago. Other than the knob lights not working and the knobs themselves are starting to lose the writing, this grill owes my nothing. I cook on it almost every week up to a few times a week depending on weather. Grates, burners, rotisserie... Everything still functions. Little pitting on the hood but honestly over all the big box grills I've purchased this one has held up. I typically purchased a new grill ever 2 years due to grated, burners, bottom rotting out. So far so good.

Easy to use and clean

Couldn't be happier with this grill. However, the rotisserie forks are missing. We had the store assemble the unit and didn't think to check for all the accessories that are supposed to be included. So what to do now, Weber? Can you send them to us?

excellent long lasting

This is my second Summit S-670 it replaces one that still operable was getting harder and harder to care for after 12 years of excellent service. Looking forward to at least another 12 years. BTW I gave the old one away to someone who was extremely appreciative and needed a working grill but wasn't able to afford one as nice as the Webber

The Skinny:

  • Weber's top-of-the-line gas grill
  • Control knob lighting
  • Snap-Jet ignition for reliable startup
  • 9mm stainless steel rod cooking grids
  • Heavy duty stainless steel

Things We Love:

Weber Summit Gas Grills are Weber's top-of-the-line gas grill. The Summit's cooking system (burners, flavorizer bars, and beefy cooking grids) are all stainless steel. Along with the durable cooking system, there are several convenient features not found on other Weber gas grills that separate the Summit as the best.

The Weber Summit includes an attached Grill Out handle light that automatically illuminates your grill for easy nighttime cooking. I also really love the reliable start up using the Snap-Jet ignition since each different burner has its own flame throwing ignition. Another feature that takes convenience to the next level is the LED propane tank scale, which lets you know exactly where you stand on fuel at all times.

For minimizing flare-ups, the Summit's Stainless Steel Flavorizer bars can be found directly above the burners. They shield the burners by catching drippings and turning them to smoke, adding flavor to your food. Weber pioneered the Flavorizer bar in 1984, and since then they've proven to do their job extremely well, which is why they're still preventing flare-ups on all Weber gas grills today!

All Summit freestanding and grill center models include a 12,000 BTU side burner, which comes in handy if you need to warm up a side dish or a sauce. Additionally, when the side burner's lid is shut, it sits flush against its surface, which adds even more shelving space to the grill cart. The Summit 470 and 670 models include three additional features; a 10,600 BTU rear burner and rotisserie kit, a 10,600 BTU searing station for that extra high heat when you need it, and a 6,800 BTU wood chip smoker box with a dedicated burner.

With over 50 years in business, Weber Grills customer service is as good as it gets. They have a 10 year warranty on the grill body and on the burners. They have reputable service and quickly handle any service or replacement part situations.

Things To Consider:

The burner housing and the rear of the grill, even on the stainless steel models, are constructed of porcelain-enameled steel which is not as durable as other all stainless steel grills in the price range.

You'll Like This Grill If:

You want Weber's top-of-the-line grill that's powered by an all stainless steel cooking system with practical features that make grilling a breeze.

Question:
Can it be built in to a cooking island
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hello Jim, The Weber Summit S-670 is not designed to be used as a built in for a cooking island. By doing so it runs the risk of a potential fire hazard and safety issue. Doing so will void the warranty on the grill.

Question:
What is the difference between the Weber Summit grills: 470 and 670?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Jill! The difference between the two models is the size and number of burners. The 470 has 4 burners while the 670 has 6 burners. The 470 has 468 Sq. Inches of main grilling area that will fit up to 20 burgers. The 670 is a bit more spacious with 624 Sq. Inches of main grilling area that can fit up to 24 burgers! When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
