 | Weber Rotisserie - Spirit 300: Great Results!Our first attempt to make a rotisserie chicken on our Weber grill was a bit of a learning experience but was also fun and delicious. Our best advice to other new owners - - Skewer the chicken and -> tie it tightly < - to keep the legs and wings from flopping around as it rotates on the spit. We learned from experience that as the chicken cooks its joints will loosened up and what we thought was a good job of skewering needed some help from the string. | RotisserieI'm loving this rotisserie. So far I've only made chicken with it. I've learned that it's really important to have the chicken trussed well. There's not a lot of room between the chicken and the drip pan (Spirit 3) so a loose wing can make the whole thing stop. But the bird is juicy and so tender! If you want to cook vegetables in the pan while the chicken is cooking, I recommend that you wait until the half-way point or else they get too crispy. And always use gloves when moving the rotisserie. It gets really hot and stays hot for a while after cooking. | Was This Helpful? |
