Recieved one yesterday and right out of the box 3 of the cables were detached because they were not crimped well. Cable eyelets very light material that cannot hold the cable. Good idea but very poor design.

Thought this was going to be a good upgrade to the original basket. It was not. It is very difficult to get the turkey to sit up straight in this basket. It is also difficult to get the cooked turkey out after its finished. I tried this basket twice and both times i could not get the bird to sit straight, it would lean against the side if the cooker. I am going back to the original basket that came with my big easy 15 years ago.

I still have not received this item. November 25th my order was marked completed. I contacted them and they said I would get an email with the reason it hasn't shipped. Still no email. I contacted them again today. I was told the same thing. They will find out the reason for the delay and email me. I will call them tomorrow to see what's going on. So I can't rate something I haven't received.

I would to give a better review but i have not received this item as of yet. i have contacted customer support many times to get problems with delivery worked out but at this time my order is still in limbo. all i need if for Char Broil to contact the shipper and allow my order to be picked up at a remote location.

I've been using propane grills for over 30 yrs. and, enjoyed them. Over this past summer, I purchased The Big Easy. Since then, I am finding it tough to go back to my grill. Absolutely EVERYTHING I've cooked (BB Ribs,Chicken Thighs,Whole Chicken etc., come out AMAZING. Count me in as being A HUGE FAN OF THE BIG EASY!!

I've used this basket a handful or more times for chicken & a turkey and it works pretty well but... I can see getting meat out of the basket is far easier than with a solid wire basket but there are a few things to know. 1. the basket isn't quite as easy to clean as stated but after a few uses and it becomes more seasoned it's getting better. 2. for "bird" meat, especially smaller chickens I've found running a few heavy-duty skewers thru the top of the bird to help support it in the basket works pretty well. I just think the meat cooks more evenly with the meat hung instead of ending up in a clump at the bottom of the basket. For a smaller turkey I'll use thicker sharpened "tent stake" type skewers. 3. The bottom portion of the fryer is obviously a bit warmer so you may want to protect the legs or thinner pieces of meat by covering with foil. Otherwise, so far, so good...

Your info. states it will fit the big easy. It doesn't. Top dia. of the basket is too small and collapses unless you can somehow have a "clamp/hanger" to connect to the inner basket/bucket. Also you need about 3 hands to get the turkey into the collapsible basket . Very disappointed. I ended up buying a new "old" basket.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
