I have both the large version and the small version and have used them for 8 years. Absolutely love them and picking one up for my son. I use them exclusively for grilling fish . Use some spray oil and you really shouldn't have any problems with sticking once seasoned. The small holds about 1.5 pounds of fish. The large closer to 2.5 to 3 pounds. I have tried using these for vegetables but can say it's not the right tool mainly due to mesh not being fine enough. Recommend buying a pair of welding gloves to handle.

Used a half dozen times with a half of a whole salmon fillet, no sticking. It helps to pat dry the fillet on both sides, then spray the basket with cooking oil. Also, preheat the basket on the grill before you place the fish inside. Same concept with cooking meat in a cold pan. Took one star away because the hinge wont accommodate larger pieces and still let you close the latch. In that case, I manually hold it close wearing grilling gloves when flipping the basket.

Makes grilling fish so much easier. Spray the basket with light coat of cooking spray (like Pam). Salt pepper and garlic powder then light coat of olive oil on each side and cook on high heat for about 2 minutes per side- depends on thickness of the fish- and enjoy. Cleanup is easy- put the basket into the dishwasher. No fish sticking to the grill any more.

You can pass on this item. Instead, buy a grilling basket or grilling pan. With a grilling basket, you can easily grill vegetables and with a grilling pan you'll find grilling fish is a breeze (a fish spatula helps too).

I bought this today to grill some fish fillets. It worked fine for grilling, but what a mess to clean up! You can only use a spatula in one direction on one half and the other direction on the other half so that the spatula doesn't catch on all the parts of the basket. Such a stupid construction..don't buy this. Many better designs out there. Looks great on the store shelf but beware!!

We've had this for 4-5 years and use it regularly for fish -- probably weekly in the summertime. Have not had much of an issue with fish sticking, though we do oil the fish lightly on both sides before putting it in the basket. Basket makes flipping the fish and moving it from hotter to cooler regions very simple. Cleanup is easy if you let the grill do the work -- char all the left-on bits of fish, and then use the grill brush while basket it still on the hot grill to brush it clean. Works well when used properly, but I guess it may take a bit of learning.

This is the perfect accessory for grilling fish. The basket makes turning the fish so easy. The filets don't break apart and when done, come off without sticking.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
