Grids totally rusted out after 2 seasons, falling apart, great grill but shouldn't have to try and replace every season, disappointed.
I like so many others love this grill but totally hate the grates (grids). I have tried everything but cannot get the rust out. How can i get the rust out or how do i buy new ones? could you have someone follow through with me please. thank you
Unfortunately I am having the same issue as all the other customers. Year 3 of this grill and I am also looking to replace these bars! Replacements so expensive too..
Bought our Baron BBQ a year ago and the grills are scrap. Worse grills I never seen on a BBQ. Previous BBQ's (Sterling) grills were quite a lot better.

Like almost all the other reviewers, my grates are rusting out and the metal is flaking off. I purchased this grill to replace a 15 year old Weber grill that never had an issue with the grates. I purchased the Broil King mainly because it was still manufactured in North America and expected it to be of high quality because of that. Unfortunate this seems to be a pretty common problem that Broil King keeps neglecting to remedy.

Like many other reviews, the grids have rusted quite badly. The double sided design is unique and works very well. The pointed side produces great grill marks and food releases well (when they were not rusted). The cupped side also worked well, but that side rusted first and is completely unsalvageable. It's unfortunate because I love cooking with cast iron, but my grills look like the photos posted here. Rusty and one bar has broken completely off. I seasoned the grill regularly and always keep a BK cover on it. Unfortunately it's all past the warranty period. I have another grill at the cottage with the Baron stainless steel grids. Those ones look great, but you do not get the grill marks on your food and food sticks without an incredible amount of oil. Would love a reliable cast iron grid.
I've had my grill for just a couple years. I follow all the seasoning guidelines and take good care of the grates, yet they continue to rust and flake apart. Very disappointed.
I bought a Broil KIng Baron grill for the cottage and Weber grill for at home at the same time. I did not know which one to go with so I bought 1 each. The Broil King is very rarely left out in the elements and is quite often brought in. The Weber at home stays out in the elements the whole year but usually covered. Both grills perform well but the Broil King Grills I have are rusted and falling a part, the middle one has hardly any metal holding it together. The Weber Grills are fine and I just have to clean them each year and they good to go. I also can not find replacements cast iron grills. I would appreciate an explanation to why the grills are inferior and any solution to mine and many people's problems with these grills.
I've had my Baron for a few years and have been disappointed in how quickly the cast iron grids began to rust and otherwise deteriorate. I've had less expensive grids on other grills in the past that seemed to last longer than these. I will add that the rest of the grill is good quality and I like it very much. I hope I hear from someone at Broil King to assist in locating better quality replacement parts.
I unfortunately have two of these grills at different homes, both covered when not in use. Both sets of grids are rusted and useless. Please contact me and let me know what options I have to replace them with something that'll hold up.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
