The grill wasn't cheap so expected a good quality product, so was quite surprised when the grates rusted away in 2 years. And not just a little, we're talking totally rusted away despite seasoning them and everything. Woud not buy this brand again.

AS many others here seem to have stated I do like my Baron 490, but the grids are horrible. I have had the BBQ for 5 years - but only used it the last 3 years and the grids are completely wasted - we had to stop using the BBQ completely as we were finding cast iron cooking grids parts in our food. On top of this even the burners are in a really bad shape - on at least one of them there has occured "holes" in the burners wherer there shouldnt be any :-( I have sent in a complaint and warranty issue via Broil King Nordic and hope that they will come back with a quick and appropriate reply and solution as this is not acceptible for a high end BBQ-copmpany as Broil King.

Same experience as all other reviewers. I season my grates regularly and they have still completely rusted and are flaking to the point where small pieces of metal are sticking to the food. I literally picked a small piece of metal off of a piece of chicken my daughter was about to eat yesterday and I'm now feeling it is no longer save to use.

I've had the Baron 590 pro for 4 years and have always taken care of my grills. Season them every 3 months approximately and they are all rusted. After reading the reviews on here and seeing the pictures, I wish I would've went with the stainless. I wanted the black bbq for esthetic reason. I love Broil King, but the quality of the grills are lacking.

I really wish I had read these reviews before purchasing two of the gas Baron barbecues one for me and another for my daughter. The grills are also rusting and falling apart. I trusted that Broil King had better products but now I'm not so convinced.

Grill grates are rusting. I season the grates regularly with peanut oil. The heat deflector are rusting also. I live in southern Nevada. The grill is always covered when not in use with a high quality cover. The grill is kept under my patio cover full time. This is disappointing. I love the performance of my grill but quality cast iron should last and ladt

Our grates , like many others who have reviewed the product rust to the point where we won't use it anymore outbid fear of getting sick. The grates must be of cheap quality as they have been seasoned and maintained as recommended . This is not a cheap grill , we paid good money for it. Terrible ..

There's not much love for these cast iron grids but I LOVE them. They hold heat for perfect searing and a more consistent temperature. Yes, they deteriorate, but they are iron. Mine have been going strong 7 years now and I'm going to replace two because they are getting thin, but that's the nature of anything that has wear and tear and lives outside. When the day comes to replace my grill, I'll be looking for these grids!

I bought this for less than 2 years and the cast iron grill grates already has started rusting. Went online to try to remove the rust but none of it seems to be working

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
