This table does not fold down, which makes the Searwood cover useless. Neither description indicates that they are incompatible with each other. Weber also does not make a compatible cover for this side table. So your grill will be exposed, and your $100 cover will collect dust. Additionally, we purchased this side table since it has a handle to move the grill when needed (the folding side table does not have a handle as the grill handle must be removed in order to install either side table). There is a flaw in design for all 3 products, grill cover (doesn't have an integrated flap/hood for a side table), folding side table (requires removal of the original grill handle to install, does not have a built in handle once installed), and weber works side table (does not fold, no compatible cover sold by Weber). Finally, if none of those items are deal breakers, this is a $125 side table (at the time of my purchase), and all of the accessories pictured with it are sold separately and extremely expensive compared to their utility. I am returning this and going to just stick with the folding side table and my own trash bin and cutting board.

Very useful shelf. Big flat surface. I opted for this one instead of the folding one. As it would be replacing the handle, I wanted the shelf to be more solidly fixed to the smoker. And it offered the potential for the additional accessories should I want them. I read somewhere that a customer's cover did not fit well once this was attached, but my cover fits perfectly fine over this. I believe that you can never have too much space when working outside. In fact, I just did a butcher paper wrap on a couple of roasts, and I really appreciated having this side shelf in addition to the front folding table. When adding this, you lose the stainless handle (which is a nice handle) but the shelf has a handle (not as nice, but fine). I am not going to need to move this smoker much anyway. The shelf is strong enough to move the grill - at least the smaller grill. The shelf metal material, design and finish match the grill prefectly. It really does look good as it is serving its function. I added three accessories - bottom, side and front shelves. These are all functional and look good. But, as many have pointed out about any of these, it would be preferred that Weber included one or more of these with the initial grill purchase. As to the Weber Works aspect of this shelf, the middle insert can be removed for the various drop in offerings, and the handle will accept the clip on offerings. Other manufacturers are outfitting their grills with similar accessories. Many of these accessories seems potentially useful, and it is smart of Weber to design and offer them. I've already used the cutting board that comes with it. This is the same material I have for some other boards in my kitchen, albeit a bit on the thin side. It is a decent size for slicing and serving, and can fit right into the accessory space on the self if you want.
The side table is a great idea and would be a good works addition but seems a bit flimsy with weak tack welds.
I love the shelf. I bought the storage containers too. Only problem is the factory grill cover now only just fits. I wish the shelf would fold like the front shelf. I have the shelf on the Searwood 600 xl
I really like the side table. It adds a nice amount of additional workspace. I was debating between this one and the folding table. I'm glad I bought this one for the sheer fact that all the drop-ins are available. I'm looking at getting either the basin or work caddy next.

We purchased this as an add on installed before delivery of our new Searwood 600xl. Unfortunately, there are a few critical 1. It replaces the sturdy handle that is used to move the Searwoood. Unfortunately, it does not also replace the functionality of that handle. Moving the Searwood by the side table causes it to much stress. 2. The searwood 600xl covers recommended are not compatible with this side table. The side table brings it out to 64" and the cover that both the Weber chat bot and customer service recommend is the standard cover and does not extend out to cover the 64". Trying to explain this the representatives is almost impossible, because they are glued to the "look up" which sends them to cover that will not work. After about 15 minutes repeating the issue, the customer service representative consulted both the product specialist and the Wharehouse and they advised there is no compatible cover from Weber.
Exactly what I was looking for - BUT: One star less for the missing information that this side table does not fold down. I've purchased a grill cover which would fit perfectly fine (made for Searwood 600XL) but this permanent installed side table forces me to buy another grill cover that fits the new width. Weber - it would have been nice to find this detail in the product description. Any advice which grill cover would be recommended now?

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
