I received this cast iron dutch oven as member of the Napoleon product testing team, and I was a bit nervous since I had never used a dutch oven of any sort. I researched online how to season it as well as recipe ideas. My initial nervousness turned to excitement as I explored the many recipes available on the internet. After the seasoning process, I decided to start by using a simple sourdough bread recipe that only required 4 ingredients and an oven. I had never baked bread in my life, but the final results were amazing and delicious (pictures provided) and I intend to make the sourdough bread again. I wish I would've had this dutch oven early on in the pandemic when the entire world seemed to take up bread baking! Next up, is to use this cast iron dutch oven to make a batch of my famous chili!
After receiving this item I fell completely in love with it! For my first use I made pulled pork and cooked it on my Napoleon Phantom grill. I left it on low heat for a couple hours and boy did this meat come out great! The cast iron really retained its heat so evenly and perfect that I was very impressed. Also this dutch oven is built like a tank! I'm sure if I season it correctly after each use that this will last a lifetime. I can't wait to try it out over a campfire when me and my wife go camping!

I made cornbread it was cooked perfectly. This thing is awesome. Cleanup was very easy. This is a great accessory. I love it.
I love the Dutch oven. I used the searing station on my Napolian grill to make chili and it turned out great! No kitchen to cleanup!
Got this a few weeks ago and finally got to use it over the weekend. First thing I notice is how well constructed the dutch oven is. Very heavy and well put together! After seasoning it with a little vegetable oil, I set out to make Coq Au Van in it. You'll notice that the lid can be flipped over and used as a saute pan, which I used to do the mushrooms and the additional chicken in. Really allows for you to have many one pot meals as a result. Second thing i notice was how well it retained heat and how tight the seal between lid and pot is, so that slow cooking or braising was a breeze! All in all, it took about two hours, but this was as good as I have ever made with other dutch ovens. Clean up was a breeze as well...would highly recommend for anyone wanting to expand their grilling options
First and foremost, I was sent this 4.5qt Dutch Oven from Napoleon to test out. With that being said, this review is my honest opinion of the dutch oven. After seasoning the cast iron dutch oven with a few layers of canola oil and heat, I decided to make some smoked brunswick stew. Why brunswick stew in July? Because 4th of July sides are a must! It cooked evenly on my pellet smoker and nothing sticked! Good choice for a dutch oven! Pros: -Priced Right -Heavy Cast Iron -Seasoned easily Cons: -Griddle Lid has feet? It'll be good on an open fire/fire-pit but not stove or grill grates -Small lid handle -No instructions on how to season

We have been researching Dutch Ovens for a while now. This Napoleon Dutch Oven is absolutely perfect and has far exceeded our expectations. This 4.5 qt is the perfect size for us, very solid design and will last us forever. Absolutely love cooking with it, it fits perfectly in our grill and in the oven. We get excited thinking about new recipes with it and we cannot wait to take it on a camping trip. Thank you Napoleon, great product! here!!

I received this Napoleon 4.5 quart cast iron dutch oven about 10 days ago. After seasoning it, I decided to try a new recipe-- red beans and rice on my Napoleon grill. my rice did not stick to the pot and the pot heated evenly. The two best features of this grill are what I call the "teapot" handle and the lid that can serve as a griddle. The only two criticisms I have are that instructions on how to season the pot should come in the box and I would do away with the three "legs" on the lid that serves as a griddle. The "leg's" would not allow the griddle to stand on a heat source that has grates, such as a stove top or grill grates.
I received my Dutch oven 4.5 quart pot about 10 days ago. I seasoned it per the instructions. Since it was new to me, I thought I would try a new recipe in it, red beans and rice. I was very pleased with the pot and how it performed. The red beans and rice did not stick to the pot, and the heat was evenly distributed. I especially liked the tea pot handle and the lid that can also serve as a griddle. The handle made the pot much easier to carry

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
