Only a week old and the control board already failed and the unit won't turn on. Replacement boards are shown as sold out online and the customer service is trash to try to communicate. This is my first and last pit boss, absolute garbage product and terrible customer service.
I bought this product as a gift. After the break in we turned down the temperature to smoke country sausage, but the unit would not maintain a low temperature. We had to run the unit at a higher temperature than desired but we made it work. The next day we made a batch of summer sausage to smoke. We noticed moisture behind the control screen and when we attempted to use the smoker the screen began glitching. The screen will also only allow you to control probe slot #1 temp and will not switch to the smoker control set temp even though no probe is plugged in at all. I made a claim, but customer service told me that the moisture in the screen was normal and would not answer the actual problem of the screen malfunctioning or about the control knob not working correctly. After being on the phone for 17 minutes I was provided with nothing helpful and told that nothing was wrong even though I specifically pointed the screen not working correctly. I am extremely disappointed with this and am left with an expensive brick that doesn't even work correctly even though it's brand new. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

We really like the food but cooks a little faster than previous smokers. There are not water foil liner replacements available for this product which is very frustrating!
So I bought the 6 series to replace my favorite vertical smoker that burned up a few years ago. First thing is this thing is definitely roomy, plenty of space. All the updates done make cleaning and maintenance a breeze. Put it together and did the burn off. No problems. ON MY VERY FIRST SMOKE, I did 4 10 lb pork butts and watched them all day from 11 am to 1030 pm went to sleep and woke up at 4 when the app was having problems went outside and the fuse was blown *apparently a rapid ignitor issue* sent some pictures of the fuse and have been waiting for 7 days as of now for the new ignitor
Cooked baby back ribs first cook was fine but then made wings for second cook and auger / fan were having issues stopping cooking halfway through.
New to smoking, and this has been a fantastic unit to learn with, highly recommend!
After assembly appears to be made of quality materials but harden screws would have been better
Wish I would have read the reviews before buying this product. The size,space, and features were everything I was looking for as I upgraded from the onyx smoker/grill combo to a full on smoker. After priming and then starting with the initial burnoff it would ERR out 10 minutes in. It was dumping too many pellets into the burning pot and overflowing. Took it apart put it back together and noticed one of the door latches were broken. Used a paper clip in place of the broken plastic piece and it worked fine. Couldn't reach customer care but it was working and that's all that mattered. Smoked a Brisket and had issues with keeping temp but I live in windy North Dakota so that was nothing out of the normal ran about 10-20 degrees hot. On Thanksgiving I smoked 3 Turkeys and mid-smoking I got an ignitor error. Followed the manual and it pretty much has told me contact customer care to find out if I have an Ignitor or board issue. With only 1 real smoke under its belt Im disappointed to be having these issues already when my onyx was half the price smoking 2 Turkeys in a blizzard last year.
This product does not hold temp idk what to do with it

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
