Have had this grill for several years. Have had no problems with it. It is built to last.
BEST SMOKER EVER/ even temps / heavy metal / works in the extreme cold or heat
My wife bought this for me close to 7 or 8 years ago. Still going strong
We use this a few times a year and cook large batches of various meats. Not hard to clean up. Holds temps well.
I have owned this smoker for over 5 years now and have no complaints what so ever. I have done turkeys, pork butts, pork loins , sausage, venison , fish , you name it and it has more than likely been or going to be done in this unit. A little tricky to keep the draft to fire temp synced but easy enough to learn. Seems to like a charcoal bed then add hardwood splits the best. I got no complaints at all . As far as the fire box paint peeling or handles coming loose I wonder if the owners complaining ever heard of preventive servicing ?
I bought one of these almost 10 years ago and just today bought a second one. I have used my first one at least a week and have zero complaints.

Used once and like it. I did, however, think that the kit included a basket for the firebox, but I ended it purchasing one and will use it today. So far it's awesome.
I bought this in late April 2024 as an early mothers day gift to myself. Since living in the south grilling & smoking are a big thing. I wanted something to last & that was built well. Since I didn't get the cover at the same time I ordered this, it sat about a month in the weather. Needless to say the firebox lid has a 8 plus inch diameter rust spot on it. I sanded the area & just a bit beyond it & applied a heat resistant spray paint. Since then it's doing better. As a former woodstove owner I already know the finish has to be redone periodically. I'm seasoned in metal working so I know the process. Now let's move on to the gaps on both the firebox & smoker box....needs to be sealed & I've got to make a bit of an adjustment to the bottom of the smoker door as it tends to stick when trying to open it. I've already bought the seal for it, just need to install it. Also the hinge for the firebox lid doesn't stay on properly so I put a cotter pin on it & it stays put now. The welding job needs some important, not much actually decent welds on this. Overall it's easy & fun to use. I use everything from natural lump charcoal, chips, wood chunks & split wood. I'm considering trying out pellets using a vented enclosed container in the firebox. I did get the cover it's a bit tricky getting on but once on it looks good & seems nice & sturdy. Overall I absolutely love this unit for both smoking and grilling.
I have used it now going on 5 years and love the fact I can stack my ribs or brisket. The weak park of it is the firebox.

This is my 2nd Bandera smoker in 25 years I gave the last one to a family member. With it being built in China the instructions at times can be vague a little common sense will get you thru. The paint has always been a issue but a good can of grill paint will work. The upgrades that have been done are nice, metal wheels and shelves on the out side, gone are the cheap plastic wheels and wood shelf on the fire box. The addition of the heat diverter from the fire box to the smoke box was long overdue. My only complaint would be the rack you use to set the logs on, over time the rack distorts and warps. Just a couple of upgrades a person needs to do, 1) buy a roll of door gasket sealer to put around the door to keep the smoke in, 2) get some food grade silicon to put in the holes at the corners in the smoke box 3) buy a couple of extra racks for the smoker box.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
