Weber GENESIS S-435 Propane Grill w/ Cover, Griddle & Sear Grate

I recently purchased the Weber Genesis S-435 to replace my 18 year old Weber Genesis grill! Great company. Great products. My friend and I assembled the new grill fairly easily. I have cooked on it 3 times so far. Cooks evenly, easy to use. I'm very happy with my purchase.

NOT consistent with what we all expect from Weber. This grill does not cook evenly, unless you have a grease fire going it doesn't get as hot. Having a flavor bar without a burner under neath it makes ZERO sense and contributes to the lack of high heat and uneven cooking. Also, don't buy their covers, only straps up high and the wind blows under the cover and with the poorly designed base, the drip pan gets blown off and grease gets everywhere below. The side base enclosure is misleading because it's not fully closed, allows wind and water in there. This grill is too expensive for it to NOT deliver and disappoint this badly. Oh, the stainless steal rusts (that's right) and the hood easily burns through and gets ugly in a matter of a couple of months, so it looks older than it is. I wish I bought two of the smaller three burner base model grills. No burner-less flavor bars there and way cheaper. DON't BUY either buy lower or higher.

Starter is on left side of grill, sear station is on right side. I usually start by turning on sear station and adjacent burner, getting grate hot and then searing steak. Now I have to turn on gas on the three left burners to get the sear burner lit, then turn off left burners to cook steak. Very inconvenient, a poor design. Also, Weber doesn't sell 16X19 inch stainless steel grates, only 3, 11X19 grates. Can only use the Griddle rack, 16X19, with one of the 11X19 grates. Another poor design.

Nice grill. Smart technology needs improvement, and the quality isn't much different anymore from other similar grills.

Cooking temperature is consistently and evenly heating meats and poultry. Added craft accessories I.e. griddle grate and veggie basket allows for indoor cooking easier outside. I now prepare all my dinner components in one stop. Very happy with this purchase.

Great grill! It replaced a twenty some year old Weber Genesis Silver. I am impressed with the advances made in burner technology. Hot and cold spots do not seem to be a part of having a grill any longer with a Weber especially compared to my old grill. Weber was especially helpful with issues I had with the valve manifold. Thank you!

Great grill, efficient in size and ability to heat to a high temperature, essential for searing meats. Solid Weber construction and esthetics are a continued constant.

This is the best grill I've ever had. Everything cooks so well and when it's done the meats, tender and juicy. I love the probe that I can put in the meat. It works really well and it's pretty accurate. I love the size, the looks, the features with the lights that light up in the interior light is a really nice feature. The Syrian grill is awesome. I'm very happy with this grill compared to anything that I've ever had in fast.

By far, the best customer service I have ever encountered! Stand by their product and their warranty.!

I was pleased to find a Weber grill with a side burner; they seemed to have disappeared from gas grills.
