This griddle is awesome! After seasoning, we have been cooking various things. The heat is even across the griddle. It has a small hotspot in the front right corner, other than that it's pretty consistent. I can cook several pancakes at a time and they all cook nicely! It is truly a great griddle. So far we have only used at home. Will be taking it camping this month. Excited to see how many things I use it for

I bought this griddle a couple weeks ago after researching for months. I camp on the beach a lot and the wind is definitely not your friend when cooking. I chose this griddle because unlike some other brands, the cooking platform sits flush with the housing and the burners are mostly enclosed to prevent against heat loss from the wind. I've only cooked on it a few times at home (my back yard is wide open and windy) and so far, it has exceeded my expectations. Hopefully my opinion doesn't change after my upcoming annual weeklong beach camping trip to Cape Lookout.

I bought this Memorial day weekend 2024. I noticed right away the lower right corner is much hotter than the rest of the griddle. Weber sent me new valves and and burner tubes, and I installed them, but there was no change. This is solidly built but the temperature difference across the griddle is disappointing.

I am new to griddle cooking, but so far so good !, the Weber Traveler works great and is easy to clean, bought it for home and the RV so it's the perfect size for us

An ideal size and 2 burners are a plus. Leveling legs and drip tray holds more than you would anticipate. Weight and lack of wheels, though, doesn't really make it "portable" but you can easily put it on a shelf to store. It's table makes it a great tailgate size. That said, after purchase of this griddle and trying to work with customer server, I will never consider the purchase of another Weber product. The original issue was, the stated "even edge-to-edge heating" marketing is not true. Left to right heat difference is 300+ degrees and front to back is 20 - 80 degrees different. See photos. I had seen some reviews with the inconsistency but nothing this extreme. But, why I WILL NEVER consider another Weber grill to replace my 16yr old Genesis is their customer service. The lack of response, poor product knowledge and willingness to address the heating issue are grossly unacceptable. After half-a-dozen emails and several calls, it became apparent that I knew more about their products than they did. They were trying to explain away the heat difference and respond with "how to operate the grill" emails. Additionally, packaging contained 3 sets of instructions but none in English. I had to search for instructions. Instructions indicated to season with cover closed which conflicted with online reviews. Customer service indicated their instructions are incorrect. For those that may purchase this griddle, heat the left side first then the right side after a few minutes. With this approach, the left side will reach 400 degrees and you can balance the right side to reach desired temperature. Note, the front right side will always be the hottest because of the burner design. Spend time to know how the unit heats. I recognize most cooking will not be done at 500 degrees across the full surface, but you do want to know what it is capable of and how it operates. Most reviews I saw reflected an 80-100 temperature difference which would seem explainable by the design of the burners.

This griddle is the most non-stick and easy to season surface I've ever used! It's well built and solid. Also, it doesn't get ridiculously hot around the sides. As some have mentioned there are spots (I've only found two small ones) where the temp is different. That's actually amazing b/c a perfectly even surface is nearly impossible to accomplish. So, this is excellent! People expecting a 22" griddle that fits in their pocket are ridiculous. There's no physical way to have a 22" griddle unit that's going to be as light and compact as a 17". It's perfect for our camper and prepared enough burgers to feed 7 hungry people in one cooking! 3 of us had doubles. If going back in time to when I purchased it....I'd purchase it again!

Great for the camper, good even heat, good heating surface size for a family of 4-6. Extremely heavy for its size but that makes sense for the quality of the griddle. I have other Webber products and this one is built even better than them. Great product for the price.

Recently got the 36" slate, amazing griddle, so didn't think twice about the traveler for camping trips. Unboxed It, it looked great, It's heavy, no scratches or dents from shipping, It feels great. The quality is the same as on the large one. So I was really happy with it, initially. I attached the propane. I fired it up and started seasoning it I noticed at the bottom right by the ignition knobs was getting hot, hotter than the rest of the flat top. And it kept getting hot. It is a terrible hotspot right by the knobs and if you turn down that area, the rest of that zone will come down too. Took it camping and on long cooks that hot spot gets even hotter. For the price I paid for the 22" traveler I am really really disappointed. That hot spot is terrible and brought what could've been a 5 star product Down to 3. I'm looking to sell it now and recoup some Of my money. Don't recommend the 22" traveler

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
