Great grill can be used to cook or smoke just about anything. Durable and holding up great no issues so far.
I have & have had several other "grills" & cooking devices. Pellets, blackstone, offset, propane...they all have their "thing" they do better than everything else. But this ceramic does everything I've asked it to do as well as or better than the specialty things. Size/capacity is the only downside I've ran into. Sometimes I like to cook for groups & it doesn't have the capacity. But tase is ALWAYS off the charts.
I have 3 Kamado Joe grills and cook on them 3-4 nights a week. I recently purchased the Big Joe III and I am very impressed so far. I mostly do hot and fast cooks like steaks, burgers, and chicken. I am starting to tinker with low and slow cooking and this type of grill is very temperature stable once you learn how to properly adjust the dampers (refer to various videos on Youtube). What I was initially wondering is how long it takes to get this bigger grill up to temp. Surprisingly, it warms up to 500 degrees in about 15-20 minutes, which works great for nightly cooks. Everything on these grills is built super heavy duty. There are some occasional maintenance items that you may need to look after, like the dome gasket, which is available for purchase on their parts site. I have had many types/brands of grills over the years and these are by far my favorite.

I was a huge Traeger fan and skeptical on adding the Joe to my cooking station. I am beyond impressed and glad I spent the money. The best part is the rotisserie option!!!
I chose Kamado Joe because of the reviews being better than competitor brands. It is a beautiful grill and very versatile. I have the full grill and the Rotisserie Kit and our favorite accessory, the pizza oven kit. We get many compliments on this grill and people love the ability to cook pizzas!! It does so much. Smoking brisket, cooking prime rib, and so much more. Great investment for our outdoor kitchen.

I bought this Joe and have had it for over 6 months now. I am very pleased with the customer service and the way the my kamado Joe smokes my briskets! I never thought that I could cook restaurant quality brisket, but with my Joe, skys the limit!
I spent a lot of time researching the different Kamado grills and I finally settled on the Kamado Joe Classic III. I have not been disappointed thus far. I have used it several times over the past month and I am very happy with the results. I love the various cooking methods that you can use on the grill as well as the numerous accessories available to fine tune and customize your cook. The only downside thus far is the fact that my other grills are collecting dust.
I've had my Classic Joe III for 8 months and I love it! I've been a loyal Big Green Egg owner until now. The Kamado Joe has so much included. The Kick Ash basket is easy to use. The divide and conquer system allows for multi-level cooking. The one finger open hinge is easy to operate, and latch seals the Kamado Joe closed. Finally, the included SLO Roller enhances the smoking experience.
I decided to bite the bullet about 2 years ago and get my classic 3. I did a ton of research prior to buying one. I watched several YouTube channels including kamado's official channel and I even did research on some of the major competitors like the green egg. In my opinion, the kamado joe is just a superior grilling experience. There is a learning curve, as with all grills, but with the kamado joe you are truly only limited by your own patience and skills. I've smoked and prepared a ton of food items. Some of my foods include ribs, brisket, fajitas, steaks, burgers, snapper, salmon, pancakes, chicken wings, thighs, whole chickens and turkeys. Where I feel kamado beats there competition is in the accessories. There truly is an accessory for anything you can think of. And it holds its temperature perfectly for hours upon hours once you learn how to build the right fire. And yes it was expensive but you get what you pay for and I've actually saved money in the long run because I've been cooking my own meals a lot more since I purchased my kamado joe instead of eating out. It's also nice knowing exactly how much sodium or other ingredients are in my food since I'm preparing it myself. It's also much easier to clean than previous grills that I've owned. If you are thinking about buying one think of it more like a long term investment that can literally last a lifetime.
Cooking on the Kamado is so awsome. Get the coals up to 350. Put on king crab legs. Bast with butter. Flip every so often. The meat has such a nice Smokey taste. I did a 3 way taste test. Boil, oven or Kamado. Hands down Joe won. Made me take the rest an smoke on the Joe before they would eat.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
