I really cannot believe the very poor quality control and terrible assembly experience I have had with a thousand dollar griddle. From scratches, gouges, bent pieces, and misaligned holes due to an unsquare weld, an open weld on the griddle top, to an important instruction step (10A) that is COMPLETELY absent from the instruction manual and was found taped to the gas hose! I had to disassemble parts just to go back to complete that step. The box was in great shape at pick-up and transported home by me, so all of this damage must have been packed in, and again, the instruction omission is simply unacceptable. If it wouldn't have been such a hassle I'd have packed it back up and carted it the 2 hour round trip to return it. I thought Blackstone was premium? I had no such trouble with my 28" Blackstone griddle so I'm not sure if this was an anomaly. The griddle itself works very well, and customer support offered to ship me the lid and one door (I am still concerned about the griddle top) but I haven't heard back on whether even that is going through. All in all, I'd recommend the griddle if you can get one that was properly made and not damaged, just look out for those errant instructions.

We had the original 36" Blackstone griddle, we bought it years ago & loved it but this is a significant upgrade. The back grease trap is such an improvement over the run off cup our old one had. Love the paper towel holder & trash bag holder & the door for the gas canister. Took me about 6+ hours and i am very handy, so prepare for a battle with your DIY skills. The griddle top is A+ quality, we have cooked burgers & fajitas and bacon so far. All perfect.

i just unboxed the grill and it is all beat up to all heck. Looks like someone took a baseball bat to it. Huge dents all over it. Assembling it was a nightmare having to bend things back into place. and squeeze mangled metal in to where it needed to go.

It's really a great griddle. Putting it together was pretty easy, only issue was the heat plate so you'll need 2 people. After cooking on it for the last week my only issue is the lid is very flimsy. Opening and closing isn't easy and you feel like you'll bend it.

Let me first start with, we love our Blackstone! If we could rate it incrementally, it would be a 4.8. There are only 2 things that we wish were different. First is the extra heat shield that was added after the fact. It's noted on the box and also on the shield itself, but when your humming along putting the griddle together, especially if you did a little bit over several days, it can (and did) get missed. I know they attempted to get our attention, but something that important deserves a rewrite to the manual. Second, it's not Blackstone's fault, but our patio slopes a tiny bit for rain runoff, so because the grease catcher (which is a feature we like by the way) is in the back, we had to prop it up on a piece of wood to direct the grease to run towards the back. A future design should incorporate a longer stem in the front wheels so that they can be lengthened to accommodate uneven or sloping pavement.

Just got this delivered and put it together. I was really excited about the lid, how it kinda folds down behind the unit. Very thin metal. Feels like it's going to break off when I open it. Propane tank cupboard is really nice, unfortunately it doesn't close correctly because it hits the crooked cheap flimsy drawers, 1 of which I couldn't install the handle because it was manufactured with the screw holes in back of it on top and the holes for mounting the handle are on the bottom. Luckily I don't really need to open them because when I do, they pop open the next cupboard door with the Blackstone label on it. The pins holding that thing on are barely long enough to hold it in, so it usually just falls off when it gets a slight bump. Very cheap materials in this model, better off buying the older models. Returning mine before I even use it.

Just bought mine today. After starting to assemble I started putting the drawer sides on and realized I had the same two sides, needed to be opposites. Then noticed with the sun hitting the top it had a crease across the front corner. Was excited about using it over the 4th. It's not like put it back in the box and return. It's have way assembled and a lot more parts laying around.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
