Plugged in the unit on a Thursday (5/1) evening, the following day (5/2) the display was flashing in a dim, then bright pattern over and over again. Unit would not respond to the power button so I unplugged it, let it sit for a couple hours and plugged it back in only to find the same flashing pattern. In short the thing died in 24 hours so never got to see how it performed. I just started the warranty process. We will see.

I'm a landscape professional who purchases units like this regularly. My client opted for this unit due to the glass front and cool lighting/controls. We professionally installed the unit in a stone outdoor kitchen along with a Scotsman icemaker. The site is professionally maintained and when we winterized the ice maker, we made sure to shut down this unit and protect it for the off season. Spring of 2nd year the unit is completely dead (worked for 1 season). We have a 1 year warranty with our client, but because of the project size and small time from install to death, we are replacing the unit and eating the cost. That will be the last Blaze product that goes into our outdoor spaces.

I bought this fridge last Sept and installed in late Nov after our outdoor kitchen was ready. When I finally was ready to turn it on this spring, I realized the fridge doesn't work at all and inside of it is warmer than outside! Customer service has been responsive and they sent me a temperature sensor and relay with instructions how to replace those which were easy but didn't feel right to do all that for basically a brand new fridge. Despite all that, the fridge is still not working and I'm trying to get a replacement since it is still under warranty. Save a headache and find something better.

I was very pleased with this beverage refrigerator when first purchased. It is a nice looking unit, has nice features and worked great, until it didn't. For reference, the unit is located outdoors, protected by a cabana and located under a counter. Unfortunately, the unit no longer turns on, even after recycling the power and pressing the "Power" button for required 3 seconds. An inspection of the unit, one can smell an odor about the housing and controller circuit card within. There is no obvious damage to the circuit card or wiring, (see attached picture, with one connection partially removed). This model beverage refrigerator is similar or the same as the Blaze model BLZ-SSRF-5.5. The majority of the reviews on the bbq guys website, for the BLZ-SSRF-5.5, state that they have a similar issue as I am experiencing. Based on my experience with this unit, and the number of similar issues others have had with the similar model, I would not purchase again, even with an extended warranty. In addition, the unit already has surface rust on the top of the cabinet.

I was going to buy a subzero outdoor refrigerator, this unit is just as well-made for half the price. The fridge is in full sun in the Florida Keys and keeps everything ice cold!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
