I was sent a USED griddle slathered in oil and covered with scratches. The oil soaked through the box and when i opened the box the oil went onto my floor and my clothes. Clothes are ruined due to oil stains. I find this atrocious.

I wish the griddle had more of a charcoal taste….is there anything I can buy to achieve this

Thank you for your feedback. Your satisfaction is very important to us! Griddles work by applying intense, direct heat to food in a short period. This results in a crispy or seared exterior and retained moisture inside (because of the fast cooking time). However, there’s no time for smoke or wood-based aromatics to penetrate the food to imbue smoky flavor. We would like to offer our support. Please look for an email from our Care team soon. I bought this less than a year ago. After storing it during the winter, it's now very rusty and unusable.

I've had this a little over 2 years. Seasoned properly and it rusted, stripped, re-seaoned and rusted again. I have to pretty much scrape and reseason it before each use. Stored in the storage bin on the side of my genesis, plan to try storing it inside. Really like it aside from the hassle of keeping it free of rust.

The griddle that came with my new Genesis grill purchase rusted on the cooking side. I tried to clean as instructed on the site and start over with the seasoning process, but that process did not work. I went a bought a brand-new griddle and started over. I again followed the seasoning process as noted online and in the instructions. Griddle looked great until I cooked on it once. We grilled steaks on it for the first cooking after the seasoning process and the seasoning came right off and now this second griddle is also rusting. I reached out to product support, and they asked me for pictures which I sent, and they basically follow up with another email that there is nothing wrong with their griddle and it is safe to cook on it. This is part of the reply we received. My understanding is that this product is made of Carbon Steel and does not have a porcelain coating on it or why would we have to season? "After a thorough review, we can confirm that the griddle itself is in good condition. The issue you've noted appears to be related to the porcelain coating coming off. Rest assured, this does not pose any safety risks, and the griddle is still safe for use."

Excellent griddle! Level cooking surface!! The only improvement I could recommend would be to widen the waste discharge slot to make it easier to clear the grill when cleaning!! We have done burgers as well as shrimp and veggies!! Very useful to our style of dining!!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
