It holds the griddle. Have not really used it for anything else. Good quality. Fit is good.
Awesome product great customer service when I had a question. Rey helpful.
With this kit you can Roast, bake, steam, or even stir-fry on your grill by replacing a cooking grate with this WEBER CRAFTED Frame Kit. It is easy to use and it allows you to get the best out of your weber grill.
I recently got the Weber Crafted frame kit for my Weber grill as it'll open up a host of grilling/cooking options. The kit comes with two parts… the frame and a grate/spacer. The frame is made of well-built, solid plated steel and stays put. I tried twisting the heck out of this thing to see how much weight it could handle… e.g. if I ever place a stew pot or anything in the frame's pot support. There is zero noticeable flex. The frame is definitely Weber quality. To use the frame, you remove the grill's larger grate. With the frame secured in the grill body, you place the grate/spacer in frame (toward the front of the frame… i.e., the part closest to you). The frame fits perfectly in the grill body. The grate, which covers the space left in the front of the frame body, is the same quality, porcelain-enameled cast iron grate as those I've come to expect from Weber. And, I love these grates. They are sturdy and the easiest-to-clean grates that I've ever experienced on a grill. This frame will definitely open a new world of cooking options… griddle, roasting, and thanks to the frame's pot recess, which places the pot closer to those fantastic tru-blu flames… steaming, stir fry, bakes, etc. The only limits are really your imagination. While I grill, my wife is normally inside handling everything else. This frame kit allows us to split the difference, which I appreciate as I always felt bad that "all I had to do" was grill burgers, steaks, dogs, or chicken while she did the rest of the cooking, which for a family of four, is a lot of work. Now, I have more time to enjoy (responsibly, of courses) an adult beverage while taking some of the workload off her. So, worth getting? If you have a Genesis 2022 325 series (or a 2016 and up Weber grill that has a large grate and a smaller grate… along with the many other compatible grills listed on the Weber web page), this is a solid five-star purchase. Weber, and their Weber Crafted accessories, make the grilling experience enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend the frame kit purchase.

This Weber Crafted Frame Kit is needed to use your griddle and roasting pan. You don't want to miss out on using those items on your grill. You won't be sorry. I'm so happy that they make these options to make your grill so versatile. The quality is great. This options makes grilling so much more fun and cleaner than using the kitchen. You can make your entire meal all in one place.
Overall, I would give this frame-kit a 9 out of 10. At the outset, this is a must-have component for the Genesis grills. By itself, it's pretty much limited to using in conjunction with a cast iron. But with the other additions that are available, it's fantastic in that you can can simply remove the standard grilling grates and put double-sided sear grates (for grilling steaks), a glazed baking stone (for cooking a pizza), a wok, or even a cast iron skillet right onto your grill. It's also worth noting that the frame kit sits flush below the standard cooking grates, which is convenient (i.e., you can leave the wire frame part on there even if using the standard cooking grates). Through the couple of grill sessions I've done already, the frame kit has stayed looking sharp and has held the sear grates and glazed stone just fine. The only downside I see to this is the price. But if you enjoy getting the most out of your grill, I'd recommend.
I recently got the Weber Crafted frame kit for my Weber - Genesis II E-435 (2021 model) 4-burner propane gas grill as it'll open up a host of grilling/cooking options. The good: The kit comes with two parts… the frame and a grate/spacer. The frame is made of well-built, solid plated steel and stays put. I tried twisting the heck out of this thing to see how much weight it could handle… e.g. if I ever place a stew pot or anything in the frame's pot support. There is zero noticeable flex. The frame is definitely Weber quality. To use the frame, depending on your grill model, you remove one (or two) of your grill's existing grate assemblies. With the frame secured in the grill body, you place the grate/spacer in frame (toward the front of the frame… i.e., the part closest to you). The frame fits perfectly in the grill body. The grate, which covers the space left in the front of the frame body, is the same quality, porcelain-enameled cast iron grate as those on my Genesis II E-435. The meh (depending on your grill model, this "meh" won't apply): For my use, the kit is listed as compatible with all 2016 or newer GENESIS or SPIRIT gas grills… along with a host of other grills listed on the Weber website. That statement is true. However, it's really "custom fit" for Genesis or Spirit grills with one larger grate and one smaller grate. My Genesis II E-435 (2021 version) has three grates. When I removed two of my grates, to place the frame kit in the grill body, a fairly significant space was left on either side of the remaining grate. I grilled steaks on the remaining grate, while also roasting brussel's sprouts in the Weber Crafted roasting basket, which I placed over the Weber Crafted grill frame. Admittedly, and I can't believe I'm putting this in writing, because of the space left of either side of the grate, one of the steaks fell into the grill body when I was removing them at the end of the grill session. I was able to grab the steak quickly using my trusty Weber tongs… and, because I keep the inside of my grill as clean as it can be, there was no harm done. But, I had a feeling this would happen due to the setup that the use of the frame kit results in. As seen in my pics, the remaining grill grate was placed in the center of the open space. I probably would have fared better if I had moved the grate either to the far right or left of the open space. But I didn't. Either way, I wish the use of the frame didn't result in a) an open space and b) lost grate/grilling space. I did see on their web page that Weber has plans to release an adapter kit for the Genesis 400 series grills that addresses this very issue. But, for me, at this point, the experience knocks off a star. So, worth getting? It depends. For what it is, the Weber Crafted frame kit will make a great addition to your Weber grilling arsenal. If you have a Genesis 400 series, the Weber Crafted frame kit is a solid four-star purchase, which in my book is great.
I would highly recommend this product as it works very well for this particular Weber series. The craftsmanship is impeccable and everything is easy to assemble. I love the size as it allows me to grill what I need. I love Weber products and will continue to use.
The Genesis frame kit opens up many opportunities to expand the use of your grill. With this frame you can add accessories that are sold separately, like a wok. The kit comes with instructions and inserts easily onto you grill.
This Weber crafted frame kit is the 1st step needed to use all the other grill cookware. For example, my husband wanted to do his spicy Mexican salsas and I sent him to the back porch to use the grill to roast his jalapeño peppers. He removed the grates on the right side of the grill placed the frame kit with ease on top of that was the roasting basket and in about 15mins he was done. Now my house doesn't have to smell like hot peppers and no more coughing out my lungs. Also, while the grill was still hot he removed the roasting basket and placed our cast iron flat skillet to heat up some tortillas. The frame kit is essential for different uses.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
