I had trouble with the first generation grill, but the customer service at Weber was really awesome and take care of the issues now pretty much I have the second generation and if it works much much better. Thanx for the customer service that Weber offers
I was surprised when I received the alert that my glow plug required replacement after only a year. But when I tried to pull the old one out the connector was melted. Whether that was grease spillover or not, the replacement came promptly and I'm back up and running.
I have a melted glow plug assembly in my smokefire pellet grill like others have mentioned in this review. How can I get the glow plug assembly?
The housing that the glow plug sits in, PN 68956, melted down during one of my cooks. I have been trying to replace it for a month. No physical stores can get parts and the support robot just routes me to an unanswered line that says to use the support robot. Insane.

Just wanted to reach out to Weber concerning the short life span of the Glow Plugs. From 27Feb2022 to 03Jul2022, I have replaced the Glow Plug in my EX6 three times. I typically cook on my EX6 about twice each week, so there isn't a lot of "starts" on the Glow Plug. Reading other customer reviews, I see that this is a recurring theme with some other customers as well. Is it possible to have a vendor quality issue with some lot numbers of Glow Plugs? I asked this because the first Glow Plug in my EX6 (1st Gen) lasted approximately one year before I had to replace it, and I was cooking about the same interval (twice a week).
I purchased my smokefire in August 2021 and since then I have had to replace the Glow plugs three times. In the written literature from Weber its says they should last for at least 150 grilling periods. I probably have gotten about 4-5 smoke/grill periods per glow plug thats far less than what was indicated. Is there something I should be doing differently??

Thank you for your feedback. You should not have to replace the glow plug that often. Please review the steps below to troubleshoot the Glow Plug. Please make sure the grill is powered off and cool before performing these steps. -Open the grill lid -Remove the cooking grates and set aside -Remove the large flavorizer bar -Remove the diffuser so the inside of the burn pot can be seen -Use a scraper to push down (or vacuum out) any ash or debris inside the burn pot -After removing the necessary components, turn on the grill and set any cooking temperature by pressing the knob. -Look inside the exposed burn pot to observe the glow plug -The glow plug will not glow red immediately, there is up to a 90-second delay. --Wait for a few minutes to check whether the glow plug is turning red If the glow plug has turned red, it is operating as expected and NO REPLACEMENT IS NEEDED IF GLOW PLUG DOES NOT GLOW RED, then the glow plug may be bad but a couple of additional checks are in order. The glow plug will turn off after 3 minutes, its only function is to ignite the pellets, not to heat the grill. Once the pellets are ignited the glow plug is no longer needed. Once this troubleshooting step is complete, perform a shutdown of the grill. We would like to hear more about this experience. Please lookout for an email from our Support team.
I have had my smokefire for 1 year and have gone thru 3 glow plugs. Works fine for the first couple of cooks but trouble igniting after that.
I have owned a Webber gill for 25+ years. This is a failure. Grill has been used twice and this part failed. I get on here only to realize that everyone has this issue, but you never see that in any reviews of the grill. Weber, please get this right.
We purchased our SmokeFire Grill in 2021. In the 3 months we used it we have had to replace the glow plug twice and it went out a third time. Now it's hard to find this part in stores. Reading other reviews, this seems to be a common problem. Weber, can you make this right?

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
