This glow plug is a replacement plug for Weber SmokeFire EX4 and EX6 - Gen 1 and Gen 2 - grills. These glow plugs have an element that heats up like a light bulb to ignite the wood pellets when starting up the grill. After start-up, the glow plug will turn off as the constant fire will help maintain the temperature.

| Early Replacement of Glow Plug?I was surprised when I received the alert that my glow plug required replacement after only a year. But when I tried to pull the old one out the connector was melted. | Glow plugsSeems after replacing the original glow plug after 1 year plus the next 2 that came later in the mail only lasted 2-3 cooks apiece put the original back in while ordering another it lasted another year. | some ting wong?brand new - first time firing it up the glow plug wasn't getting hot.. pulled it out and just kinda re inserted it and viola and worked like a champ the ribeye was delicious.. problem is that was it.. it's not heating up now.. what's up with that.. is this a common problem Staff Response:Thank you for your feedback. | Spare Glow Plug, a must haveWell, this glow plug purchase was again obtained to keep as a spare. I do not know why but my EX6 grill eats these up. I have gone through 6 glow plugs! They just stop working.These should not fail but they do so I keep a couple of spares on hand,as without it working the pellet grill is useless. | Weber Smoke FirePurchased Weber Smoke Fire approximately three years ago and have had nothing but problems with it! Replaced glo plugs multiple times and fuses, parts not easy to find.
