If only I knew how far this would exceed my expectations! Takes a few runs to get the hang of the dough and process, definitely get the spinning peel!
We enjoy cooking pizza on our gas grill so I bought this for my husband and we love it. Takes a couple of pizzas to get the hang of it, because they cook so fast. Make sure to keep turning the pie while it's cooking so it cooks evenly and doesn't burn. Happy with the purchase
Cooked 7 pizzas all were delicious. Need to work on getting the crust crispier. Changing to all 00 flour and my chef son gave me a tip on maintaining higher heat. Favorite was ricotta, and sautéed garlic eggplant.
My husband loves his Ooni! I gave it to him for Christmas. He could not be happier. Two of his friends have one as well. It cooks so great! Very fun!
Only had two firings so far and I am still in the learning phase. I think it makes great pizza that my regular (propane gas fired) oven could never duplicate. I lived in a house with an old hearth that we used to cook pizza in. It took 5 hours of firing to get up to temperature. We would through a few large pizza parties every year. The ooni is up to temp in 20 minutes. That means pizza any day of the week:). Thanks ooni.
I've had the 12" pellet Frya for about 8 weeks now, and have probably cooked about 6 times on it. It wasn't 'love at first sight' I have to say, as it's actually a bit harder to get your dough perfected (still having issues there), and that first attempt quickly turned to charcoal as I wasn't able to turn the pizza (there's a tool for that). I have enjoyed the journey though - a learning experience - and with that in mind, with hindsight I'd have chosen differently. 1. I would go with a dual fuel grill. I love the freedom pellets give you, and that smoky aroma (food doesn't pick up much of it though), but pellets are hassle to ignite and wait, and are harder to control temperature wise vs gas. 2. I would probably go with a 16" version. A 12" is too small for 2 people, so everyone gets an individual pizza. Great in a way - unless you all want to sit down and eat at the same time. None of the above is particularly the fault of the Ooni. The mark off is because the flange for the chimney baffle - your only source of temperature control with pellets - is just too 'loose' and won't stay where you put it.
It looks like it is made very well time will tell how good it stands up to travel as I plan to take it camping this summer as well as using it at home
Better than I thought it would be! My family is loving the pizza. The only issue I personally had was the learning curve of how to get it in the oven and back out. However, on my third try had no issues! Now we have weekly family pizza night.
I was skeptical but this pizza oven is here to stay. Before purchasing the fyra, i heard people complain about this model, saying it was difficult to use. I am no pro, but if you follow the directions and understand how fire works, then you will have a blast using this. We have already been tasked to cook for my family on multiple occasions and they even bought a bag of pellets to keep at their house for us. Since day 1 we have been making awesome pizzas and i look forward to many more to come!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
