I just used my Ooni Fyra 12 for the first time, and it did not disappoint. I went "old school" without a thermometer and burned the crust on my first pizza pretty bad ( in 60 seconds!) I read a hint in the documentation to put a cast iron pan on the stone for 30 seconds to draw some of the heat, close the chimney vent a bit and turn the pizza more frequently. Bingo! Perfect on the second try! Everything worked as advertised out of the box. Set up was super easy. I was a little concerned that time management between pizzas would be tricky, but it wasn't. The bottom line is that it was simple to use, made amazing pizza and was fun, too!
I am in love with this pizza oven. Still getting the hang of it. Once the stone heats up I just need to remember to check the temperature so the crust does not burn. I was able to make a couple good pizza that the family enjoyed.
We tried 3 different types of pizza (pepperoni, buffalo and margherita) on our first attempt were happy with the results. The oven was easy to use and had no problems getting it hot.
My Fyra arrived last week. There was some slight damage to the chimney, but I took pictures and sent them off to Ooni and they were more than helpful. Their responses were quick and friendly (shoutout to Laura), and they already have a replacement chimney on the way to me. Their customer service alone gets 5 stars. Fortunately, the slight damage didn't render my Fyra unusable in the mean time. I was a bit skeptical because of some of the negative reviews, but now I firmly believe those reviews were the result of operator error. After a weeks use, I have to say the Fyra is everything Ooni claims it to be. Not only can you get to temps of 950° in 15 minutes in this oven, but the highest I've recorded was 1080°. The pizza comes out well cooked, perfect every time so long as you rotate it regularly. If you simply watch their videos and go over their manual a bit, this thing is a no brainer to use. Perfect addition to any outdoor cooking setup. Two tips I've found for Fyra that helped me and will help you too: 1) Due to the high temps, expansion of metals and collection of soot, the chimney sometimes doesn't like to twist off after a cook. Solve this by applying a bit of olive oil around the base of the chimney after it's cooled. Works like a charm. 2) I have had the pellets jam in the hopper exactly once. I solved this by simply giving the pellet hopper a few light knocks on the side when adding pellets just to make sure they fall down. They haven't gotten stuck on me again.

love this little Fyra oven...my only advice: you better know how to start a wood pellet fire and then how to maintain a consistent hot oven once the pellets catch....I use Ooni supplied pellets, adding my own wood shavings for starter to help the pellets catch and burn hot...took me some time to figure out how best and when to feed the pellets and once they catch, keep the oven fire HOT. especially if you have any wind (outdoors) to deal with....(forget it). Question for you Ooni pros...Is it ok to flip the pizza stone base over and use? Would folks advice using a small torch to light the fire at the beginning rather than just wood matches? I think something more substantially hot would help get the fire going more consistently... also, sometimes a roaring flame from the pellets can lick out and up into the hopper pipe....is this a back draft issue or how to prevent this? add more pellets and fill the hopper as advised? I'm loving the simplicity of the stove design and it's awesome wood-fired tasting pizza's...but maintaining consistent flame and heat are a hard to control...I can see why gas powered oven might do well in this regard...thoughts and suggestions welcome to all you pros out there in Ooni land..still love the product, you just need to get a few hours of experience using it to get the best results...all the best, kevin
That is one hot son of a gun! I never thought you could bake a pizza that fast. Love it, love it, love it. Using Trager hickory pellets as Ooni pellets not available. No problems what so ever, other than my dumping 1 on the concrete trying to handle the door and the peel at the same time. Up side down, naturally! LOL Still was able to quickly rescue it as I was hungry!
As easy to connect and get started as advertised. The pies were fantastic. My only minor complaint is the stickiness of the chimney, which in my experience has required a lubricant both times to remove after cooking.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
