Bought one yesterday, does not connect to WiFi nor Bluetooth. Only have 4 dashes on the bottom of the screen, nothing else happens. It's completely stuck. Have reinstalled the device 4 times. Tried a reset but no joy. And I was stupid to throw away the reciept straight away as it was a Weber product... Stay away from this product
Wasted 2.5 hrs of my Saturday afternoon trying to make this thing work. Just constant firmware update fails. I cant even get it to work since it is requiring the update.

Temperature probes often have incorrect reading, causing meat to not be done when probe says it is.

I bought the original version we have a variety of temperatures our family members like their meat. With the Weber smart app everyone gets their meat cooked exactly like they want it.
Doesn't seem like any users beta tested this, it lacks basic features like graph of temp vs. time. Could use a cook 'log book' that you could document your cook (and graph) for example. It seems like the programmers of the app were lazy, instead of creating receipies you enter the weight, they just cut and pasted the same thing 5 times and just updated the weight for each. It's great that it works over wifi, but the rest is half baked attempt at creating an app. Hire an app developer or 2, create an app people want, not half baked, un tested, no user feedback app based on some PM's requirements that doesn't cook or use this thing.

I bought this today. Unfortunately I did not read the reviews before. After unboxing you can not use it till you upgrade the firmware. If you upgrade it, you end up with a dead device that does nothing. An evening of frustration trying to reset, different phones, ... . US support pointing to EU support. Tomorrow I take this piece of junk back to the store.

It won't upgrade the software, it fails towards the end of each cook, it had so much promise yet failed so miserably.

I bought this product today: May 18, 2020. I installed the Weber Connect app, ran the app with approvals it asked for and when I go to click 'Pair Device' and it crashes and exits me out of the app, or, my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ with all updates installed) saying: Weber Connect keeps stopping. Below that statement is the following three options: App info; Close app; and; Send feedback. I commented about the failing app on Google Play and was promptly responded to by support. This promptness definitely earned a star.(SIDE NOTE: My first review on Google only gave it a 1 star but my updated review has 2 because of the promptness. Much appreciated.) I took the advice provided and reinstalled the app a second time today (11AM CST). It is now 11:30AM CST and the advice provided did not yield a fix. The tangible product, not the app, appears to be working well as it does read 71 degree (F) when it is on, which is about the temperature in my home right now. I imagine that if I poke the tool into meat it would read well and accurately, however, I don't want to do this if one of the features that contributed to my purchase isn't working. I am considering returning this product.

Apparently bad reviews are for a reason. I have been trying 2 days to get this thing to work but no result. I tried with android, iphone and ipad and all the same result. I am pairing it, then I do the update and once it is finished I am asked to do the update again. Also never recognises the wifi... I have done this more than 5 or 6 times and numerous resets from the back side. I get these three dashes (see photo) which should mean something but of course there is nowhere online a troubleshooting to explain what these are or help me through. Honestly I am starting to question Weber quality here, how can you release something so unreliable with your brand name? Most expensive brick I have ever bought.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
