The Weber Wi-Fi Enabled Connect Smart Grilling Hub introduces an efficient way to monitor the temperature by syncing to the Weber Connect app, so you can conveniently adjust the Connect Hub. The Grilling Hub is capable of working on any grill, so it is not just limited to Weber grills. Comes with one meat probe and one ambient probe to help weather the different conditions, while also capable of having up to four (4) probes in at once. Is easy to charge the Hub with a USB rechargeable battery, and the LED display will let you know when it is done charging. The back of the Connect Hub has an embedded magnet that will attach the device to any magnetic surface. The Weber Connect app features a variety of different grilling programs, step-by-step assistance during grilling, and even alerts the user when it is time to flip the food on the grill.

Doesn't work

Worst Thermometer I have ever used. I have not ever been able to fully charge the device. It has a short battery life. It is confusing in its instructions but I am getting used to it. It definitely isnt idiot proof. I would return it, but I have used it.

Non-functional

I bought one of these because it came with the ambient probe, which is an add-in for igrill. As soon as the ambient when in the grill it went to 680F. That is in the center with inside burners off (set for my normal indirect cooking). The grill thermometer and my old fashion analog thermometer read mid to low 300s. Took it back and exchanged for another and same story, ambient reads 680 as soon as it is put in the grill, even on the toaster rack. Just junk. I thought a lot of Weber based on my grill, but this has changed my mind.

All probes stuck at 680 degrees

I bought this product several months ago. At first it worked great, but the last several weeks it is not reading temperatures correctly. When I checked today, all my probes just read out 680 degrees constantly, even on a cold grill and even in ambient temperature (about 70 degrees Fahrenheit). The device is totally useless to me right now. I've completely wasted my money.

85% battery and disconnect

I bought one on Father's Day. The battery never went above 85% and the app was clumsy. Weber is exchanging for another and we will see.how that works.

Problems out the box

Pretty much echoing the reflections on here: Ambient probe useless - goes off the scale but I used it as an additional meat probe & it worked fine agreeing with the meat probe - still what's the point you have to know ambient as well as internal... Just "calibrated" both probes in boiling water and they agreed with each other at 103°C The battery took forever and a day to charge and maxed out at only 80% but it's so new so I cannot report on longevity... The app really really needs a history / graphing feature for long grilling / smoking. That's ridiculous it doesn't track events.

Immature product

I was super excited about this product initially. Out of the box there were several serial software updates that very unintuitive and took hours... First run, I experienced the commonly noted problem of the grill sensor shooting to 680 degrees and have never been able to use that device / feature. The "tap / push" that the device calls for in operation is really hard and only seems to work randomly. The meat probe has now taken to reporting random temperatures and is not reliable. At this point, I'm super disappointed and have a product that is non-functional.

Disappointing

I own the igrill mini so I decided to upgrade. Wrong decision. The Weber Connect reads temperature way higher than iGrill mini (I.e. 266 F in Mini vs 680 F)!!!!! I have tried everything (hard reset, erase the app) but nothing works. I hope it is an app problem otherwise I just wasted my money.

A long time with perfect performance

This grill is now 30 plus years old. The only thing I have ever replaced is the flavoricing bars. I want a new one but this grill will not wear out. It has been amazingly great. I just wanted you to know!

My grill now has a brain!

Before purchasing the Weber Connect Smart Grilling Hub, I read some reviews online and was surprised to see so many negative comments. The description of the Hub and what it can do was so inspiring I went ahead and ordered it. I have only owned Weber grills for forty years, and my experience has told me that Weber would not develop and sell anything with their name on it that was not of the highest quality. The day the Hub arrived, I used it to monitor some lamb chops as I cooked them. The lamb chops came out a perfect medium rare. I have used it in grilling other things since, and find it absolutely delightful. It is my "grilling buddy." It is almost alive in the way it interacts with you, and the fact that I can use my cellphone to view it in action and control it is magic. When fully charged, the battery holds its power for multiple grill sessions. It may at first seem complicated to use, but it is a completely new product, and I found that taking the time to read the directions carefully, step-by-step, was the only way to become successful in understanding this product. Once again Weber has hit a home run. Thank you!

Do not buy, it doesn't work

I was so excited to get and use this but it started malfunctioning right away! It looks like the exact same problems I am having are being shared by several other people who have reviewed this, the temperature reader doesn't work, it shows the temp of the BBQ at 680F when it's only 400F and when you tell it to cook something to medium or medium rare, it only cooks the meat to rare, every single time, which, basically means you may as well not use the grilling hub because it flat out does not work at all! It just causes you more headache to use it. It's super buggy too and crashes often, DO NOT buy this thing, read the other reviews first, there is a reason why they are all terrible! Also, I tried emailing Weber twice and calling them over the past month, but they won't call or email me back, very disappointing because I've come to expect great things from Weber. :(

If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
