The 850 Timberline is a very well built unit and pleasure to use. The features are excellent and simple to use. This was a big step up from my Traeger Pro 22 and totally worth the upgrade.
We use our 850 almost everyday! Absolutely game changing. In hindsight, I wish I had bought the bigger one because I am making so much extra food for our extended family. We have made baby back ribs, tri-tip, multiple beer can chickens, pizzas, pepperoni rolls, garlic knots, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken breast, bacon, spaghetti squash, grilled veggies, brisket and tandoori chicken. Keep in mind we have only had it for three weeks now.

Coming from a "Lil Traeger Elite" which was about 5 years old this thing is impressive. It does seem to take a little bit longer to pre-heat than I was expecting, but now that I am used to it I just plan ahead and make sure to start earlier. The WiFire app has worked flawlessly as well.
So I purchased my Timberline from a neighbor who bought it and used it to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving. He decided to move out of state and didnt want to haul it with him so he sold it to me. I was over the moon with it initially but have since become extremely disappointed with its durability. I believe this was one of the 1st 1300 in the market and have run into issues with replacement parts since they kind of retooled the inners. Bottom line,I have replaced the auger drive motor and a faulty probe. It worked for a few smokes and since, has stopped working again. I am know waiting for a new auger,I side temp probe, and most likely a new fire pot. This is by far the most expensive piece of patio decorations I own. I would not recommend this unit based off of my experience. Maybe the newest generation Timberlines are built better

I purchased the Timberline 850 last July, worked fine until Traeger updated the wifi software _ now it won't connect. Customer service has been horrible (and I am being kind). After multiple calls one rep finally admitted the techs were working on a fix. I was promised the I would get an update "still waiting" . . . in the meantime I paid $1800 for non-working technology. I could have bought a non-wifi pellet grill for $500. Sorry isn't enough but it's all you will get from customer service staff. If you are thinking about buying, best of luck, and maybe think gas.

I have owned this grill for about a year now. It has many nice features and is very well constructed. However I have had one nagging item that bothers me every time I use this pit . I have had other brand pellet grills that did not have this problem and I expected more for this amount of money. The problem is the lack of consistent temperature control. I consistently see temperature fluctuations of up to 15 degrees on either side of the set temperature. It ought to be more accurate for this amount of money!

I absolutely love cooking on this thing. My wife loves that I cook more.
Although a great grill, it's not the smoker the 780 Pro is. After 3 hours of smoking ribs at 180 degrees and using the super smoke setting as well, the ribs are no where near where they should be. Sort of a huge disappointment especially for their flagship smoker. I was looking forward to the super smoke setting to only be disappointed thus far. It just doesn't put out smoke like the 780 on smoke setting. But the rest of the design is great, I am just not 100% happy making the switch, I'm sort of missing my 780 pro. Finding myself torn between the two and I shouldn't feel this way for this kind of money. I believe I will just have to add more time to my smoke. Although, the WiFi feature is amazing, the insulation keeps the grill perfect and it does get to 500 degrees when needed. The height of the grill is perfect, I wish all Traeger's were this way. Now, once I figure the smoking part down it's a solid smoker/grill.

I was dissapointed with the grill. It leaks grease around the trap. The lid doesn't close squarely. The insulation around the lid needed to be redone to get the flimsy clips to hold it in place, and it still isn't perfect. This is my second traeger, and for the top of the line, I was expecting more.

Absolutely worth every penny! Love my grill! I have done everything from pizza to Trip Tip to Brisket, chicken veggies.. you name it. The wirefire technology is perfect and the temp control is excellent. This thing is a no brainer! If you like to grill or even cook at all for that matter you must get one of these! I am a huge fan! The content and connectivity with the app has been a blast. Easy to explore new options, recipes, cooking tips, cool to check out the different chefs. Overall totally satisfied!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
