I just bought the Timberline 850 and after quite a bit of research on pellet grills. I was originally going to buy the Ironwood 650 but once I was at the store a decided to go all in with the timberline 850. I am a pretty meticulous guy that pays attention to detail. I was so excited to assemble my grill and use it for the first time on Saturday. I watched assembly videos on line and also read the book prior to assembling my grill. I followed the instructions but there is one key point I would like to make. Both the video and the instructions tell you to lay the grill down on the cardboard box to make it easier to attach the legs. I took the advice along with the advice to use part of the packaging to elevate the grill a little before attaching the legs. I did just that and what they don't tell you is to make sure you secure the lid for the grill and the pellet bin. When I elevated the bottom just 2-3 inches both lids came open and banged into the brick patio floor. I was sick, I had not even assembled my grill yet and and the finish was already damaged. It took quite a bit of excitement out of the process and when I was cooking on it that afternoon all I could do was look at the scuffs and shake my head. The food turned out great but I am totally frustrated out about the scuffs on the lids. Please make sure you secure them prior to propping up the grill for leg attachment.

Got this for Father's Day and have used it everyday! My wife even uses it and has something smoked when I get home from work almost every weekday. Glad I finally have a Traeger!!

WiFi won't connect. Long story short. I paid a lot of money for a timberline 1300. Currently I am regretting my decision. I shouldn't have to run through hoops to get features to work. Enough said

I spent hours on the online tech support chat three separate times trying to get wifi to work. Never did get it figured out. The best guess was to have my internet provider reconfigure our network. We have friends that are on the same internet setup with competitors grills and have no issues. Another big complaint is the pellet level alarm goes off at about 3/4 full. So either you constantly fill the hopper or listen to the alarm. As far as grilling itself goes its pretty good. Holds temp in colder weather. Seems to be good that way. Overall I am not satisfied with it. I would not recommend spending the money on this grill. I have owned Traeger grills since the beginning, I am truly considering selling it for something different.

Smoker works as advertised except for wifi doesn't work at all. BBQ Guy's are a solid 5+ and I would recommend them to anyone who asked. Traeger customer service are very nice people but don't expect resolution, they haven't got a clue.
Ever since I got this grill I haven't had a peaceful night alone. Now friends are always bringing meat over wanting me to have cookouts. It's been about a month now, a few days after getting this beast delivered (timberline 1300) my girlfriend found out how much I spent on it. We came to the conclusion that I may have a problem, she diagnosed me as a grilling addict and I'm okay with that. She also said that now I have to cook on it everyday to justify the price, jokes on her because I'm okay with that too. But now I have guests over every night wanting me to throw their food on the grill too and although I enjoy it I haven't had a date night since. While I am very pleased with the product its important to understand the side effects that may come with it

I consider myself something of a grill master. This is by far one of the best grills that I have ever used. No hot spots or flare ups. Just even cooking.

As a hole I would say pellet smokers work really good but I would hesitate before buying a Timberline series from a dealer. I bought my Timberline 850 from one of Traeger's platinum dealers and since people buy the lower end ones so much more then the high end models this one had sat in the show room too long and had out dated software in the D-2 controler. Traeger made me re-connect to the grill over and over again for a week and a half before they finally would send me a new controller but instead of sending it express shipping they gentleman said I have to wait another week or more to get the part I need. That will mean my BRAND NEW TIMBERLINE 850 won't even work properly for the first 3 WEEKS that I will have owned it. Save your money and just buy a pro series the extra you spend on the top end Traeger grills doesn't matter to Traeger at all they won't work harder to help you out and if I bought a pro series instead I would be one of their happy customers enjoy my fully working grills instead.

Expensive? Yes, kind of.. Most expensive grill I've bought? Nope. Quality and satisfaction? Spot on, and I'm not the easiest to please. I've called twice with minor questions and both times have been quite impressed with service and a short wait time. You WILL need 2 people at the end of assembly to set the smoker upright but moves around on the wheels pretty decent. The app for the wifi is great. Get yourself a cheap or used shop-vac to keep it clean (I'm weird that way, sue me). The cover they offer is the best I've ever seen, worth every penny even though I keep mine indoors most of the time.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
