Ranger: Perfect for On-the-Go Grilling and Smoking
This portable pellet grill is perfect for camping, tailgating, picnics, and boating. This little grill runs off a standard 110-volt outlet. The 184 square inch porcelain coated grilling surface produces excellent sear marks and easily cleans up. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake pizza right on your grill and cook meat at lower temperatures without any flipping. Enjoy breakfast on the go and sear steaks to perfection using the included cast iron griddle. Rubber feet and latches on the hood keep your grill secure during transportation.
Easy to Start
Traeger grills feature an auto-start system that is simple and safe to use. When you turn on the grill, the auger begins to feed pellets into the firepot while the draft induction fan feeds air into it. The igniter rod is activated and glows red hot for the first four minutes to ignite the pellets in the firepot. The 8-pound capacity hopper provides plenty of on-the-go grilling time.

Can you smoke on the Traeger Ranger?
The Ranger can hold temperatures in the low-and-slow range. The only limitation is its size - the cooking grid is 15 x 12 inches, so larger items may be a bit too large to fit.
Does the Traeger Ranger need electricity?
The Ranger requires a standard 110 volt outlet.
How much can you fit on a Traeger Ranger?
The cooking grid is 15 x 12 inches, which does limit capacity. BBQGuys estimates you can grill 6 burgers at one time.
Can you smoke a brisket on a Traeger Ranger?
Absolutely! The only limitation is size, so you may have a challenge trying to fit a very large brisket in the Ranger. We've seen briskets up to 20 inches in length and 12 inches in width, so you'll probably want to go with a medium-sized brisket. Trimming your brisket may also help it fit.
Can the Traeger Ranger get wet?
It can, but note that if the lid gets wet that will likely cause the internal temperature to drop, which can affect your cook time. We recommend keeping it under cover when not in use.
How big is the Traeger Ranger?
The Ranger is 21 inches wide, 20 inches deep, and 13 inches high. It weighs in at a whopping 60 lbs.

Purchased a few months ago and have taken this unit camping, as well as, used at home. It has done well with pork ribs, pork shoulders and hamburgers and hotdogs up camping.

We have a PB 150 table top pellets smokers, really enjoyed it. BUT now we have a Traeger Ranger it is a real game changer for us. The Ranger is a super grill. We can cook breakfast on the griddle then smoke pork butt for dinner. The Ranger is so versatile it gives lots of opportunity for different kinds of food. The Ranger has drip tray liners that are a life saver at clean up time. We truly appreciate our Traeger Ranger.

First night the temp was set at 225 and after an hour of cooking it took off to over 300 until I turned it off. An hour later it did the same thing. You can't set it and forget it on these things, you'll burn your meat and maybe the whole grill if not continually monitoring it. I returned it as defective and not doing as advertisements claimed.

Did an 8lb pork butt the day after I bought this Ranger. Followed the simple recipe from the app. Very easy set up and very easy to use. It turned out amazing. Many more smoking adventures to come.

Doesn't hold temperature...it gets too hot and burns all the meat, really bad. I called customer service and they said it is because it's portable. What????? Don't sell it as a smoker then...

I have had my Ranger for 3 years and it is the best portable grill on the market. I wish Treager had a portable stand for the Ranger, this would be the perfect addition for the RV'er.

This was my first time ever smoking / using a pellet grill and I have to say, this thing did awesome. I bought a cheap rib rack so I could make three at once, and all three came out great. I haven't figured out how to use the meat probe and it doesn't seem to connect to any app, but I can't argue the with results. Great little grill for my condo.

For the price, I'd expect the grill to come with all of its parts required for assembly...it looks like a product I would like to use, but now I've got to wait again... Not the quality I was expecting at this price.

I bought this grill recently an went to use it for the first time yesterday. I went to prime the hopper for the first time to start the grill up for the first time use an the Auger would not even turn. I called customer service several times trying to get someone to answer which was about an hour of being on the phone for nothing. I finally called a Platinum dealer who was more than welcome to walk me through some trouble shooting steps. But once said an done my brand new Traeger Ranger would not work an the stuffed meatloaf I had fixed up to throw on the smoker I had to end up cooking it in the oven which was a let down for my Traeger Ranger Smoker. So I had to make another phone call to customer service again today which hopefully gets the issue fixed.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
