Ranger: Perfect for On-the-Go Grilling and Smoking
This portable pellet grill is perfect for camping, tailgating, picnics, and boating. This little grill runs off a standard 110-volt outlet. The 184 square inch porcelain coated grilling surface produces excellent sear marks and easily cleans up. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake pizza right on your grill and cook meat at lower temperatures without any flipping. Enjoy breakfast on the go and sear steaks to perfection using the included cast iron griddle. Rubber feet and latches on the hood keep your grill secure during transportation.
Easy to Start
Traeger grills feature an auto-start system that is simple and safe to use. When you turn on the grill, the auger begins to feed pellets into the firepot while the draft induction fan feeds air into it. The igniter rod is activated and glows red hot for the first four minutes to ignite the pellets in the firepot. The 8-pound capacity hopper provides plenty of on-the-go grilling time.

Can you smoke on the Traeger Ranger?
The Ranger can hold temperatures in the low-and-slow range. The only limitation is its size - the cooking grid is 15 x 12 inches, so larger items may be a bit too large to fit.
Does the Traeger Ranger need electricity?
The Ranger requires a standard 110 volt outlet.
How much can you fit on a Traeger Ranger?
The cooking grid is 15 x 12 inches, which does limit capacity. BBQGuys estimates you can grill 6 burgers at one time.
Can you smoke a brisket on a Traeger Ranger?
Absolutely! The only limitation is size, so you may have a challenge trying to fit a very large brisket in the Ranger. We've seen briskets up to 20 inches in length and 12 inches in width, so you'll probably want to go with a medium-sized brisket. Trimming your brisket may also help it fit.
Can the Traeger Ranger get wet?
It can, but note that if the lid gets wet that will likely cause the internal temperature to drop, which can affect your cook time. We recommend keeping it under cover when not in use.
How big is the Traeger Ranger?
The Ranger is 21 inches wide, 20 inches deep, and 13 inches high. It weighs in at a whopping 60 lbs.

This is an awesome little grill. It packs all of the abilities of a "full sized" Traeger in a convenient travel package! The cast iron plate is an added bonus!

The grill is great but I ordered 2 bags of pellets which still have not arrived. It's been over a month now. Kinda hard to use the grill without pellets and at no point during my order was I told pellets were out of stock or on backorder.

Love this little grill for a quick weeknight dinner, comes to temp super fast. Burgers, steaks, or a tri tip work great. We also love to use it when we cook longer meals to reverse sear the steaks using the griddle.

I have a Green Mountain big pellet grill and needed a smaller pellet grill for our RV. It seemed the Traeger Ranger fit the bill. After burn in, we tried some meat on low to get a good smoke. Using a MEATER thermometer in the meat, the measured ambient when set to the lowest temp (165) was way higher on the order of 300+ degrees and all over and pretty variable; the meat showed the higher temp as well in that it started to cook. When we set the point up to 400, it held the temp rock solid. Hopefully this was something that the grill will fix in time as it seasons and spec'd in by Traeger. Its probably pretty hard for such a small grill to maintain temp consistently on low heat tbh. Still a wonder you can pack so much into such a small footprint as the Ranger..

This grill has not worked once since we bought it. Called support 4 times sat on hold each time for an hour plus. If you do the call back option it is usually 3-4 hours before you hear from them. Also grill is still not fixed supposedly a part will be mailed was going to send tracking info but never received that either. About ready for a refund since we have not been able to use this grill. Would not recommend buying this grill.

I drive over the road and until now I used a little hibachi type charcoal grill. I bought a Tailgater years ago and love it but it's too big for the truck. I saw the Ranger and knew it was gonna replace hibachi. It fits in the cargo hold and is simple to unload and set up. I've had other drivers ask if they could throw their own burgers or hotdogs on it while I'm cooking. Thanks Traeger people! You're making it easy to avoid unhealthy fast food.

I bought this portable Traeger pellet grill for our motor home. We recently moved during the winter, and I had given away my last aging pellet bbq. My plan was to buy a pellet bbq for our new home, and a portable pellet bbq for our RV to replace a small, charcaol Weber we've used for many years. I reviewed portable bbqs online, and I liked the size and features of the Traeger TFT18KLD. Since it arrived, we've had many bbqs and have found this grill size to be perfect for grilling meals for up to 4 people . We might not be buying a full sized pellet bbq!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
