The original firebox rusted out after 3 years although my grill has always had the cover on when not in use and stored under a roof. Fire would not stay lit. Really should last longer.

My Timberline was taking over 25 minutes to ignite and another 15 minutes for the temps to stabilize and super smoke was basically a joke. After investigating my fire pot I noticed several burn though spots and a very used igniter rod. I cook on my grill about every day and was tired of waiting for it to ignite and preheat. Ordered the firepot and igniter rod assembly. Assembly came with the igniter rod already attached, the fire pot and the cable to install. The video on this site was helpful but if you want to replace the entire cable it does require a few more steps not listed in the video. If you have any technical know how you should be able to figure it out. Simply remove the bottom panel under the pellet hopper and remove the 4 screws that secure the fan to aid in installation. Also if you remve the 4 screws holding the control panel on the front of the grill it will make plugging in the other end of the cable. Original cable it zip tied up to take up the stack in the cable and this assembly does not provide one ( or at least mine did not) so you will need to provide a zip tie. Traeger I think a zip tie should be supplied in this complete assembly. Once cable is plugged but everything back together. After I replaced the assembly it only took about 5 minutes for my grill to ignite and 2 more minutes to stabilize the temp. Very happy . Total installation was only about 15 minutes. Hope this helps someone else.

Installing a new hotrod took about 30 minutes the keys to making it easy unplug the old rod remove the four screws on the fire bowl pull it out remove the set screw on the rod then tape the new rod plug to the old rod gently pull the old rod and new rod wire through plug it in zip tie the wires screw down the bowl and fire that bad boy up and start cooking!!!

The engineering to replace the hot rod stick is ridiculous. Once you pull the old stick out, you have to remove everything on the left side to route it back in. Ours is slightly over a year old and crapped out on 4th of July. No longevity with this brand. Just keep buying parts ever year. I'm going back to charcoal.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
