Seems to work well but did not last two years. Worried about the next time it burns out and I no longer have a warranty
First, I want to share I'm a HUGE Traeger fan! I became a "smoke" fan after my Lil' Tex purchase. After 12 years of my first Traeger, I was ready to upgrade to the IronWood 885. After two cooks, I needed to replace the Hot Rod. That did not fix the problem (it would not ignite). After having to replace the Hot Rod, then I had to replace the control panel. It did fix the problem. My frustration is that after two cooks I have had to replace the Hot rod, then replace the control panel (my labor, my time) and all they offered was a spice rub. I could care less about the freebies - my frustration is all the work "I" had to do to fix the Traeger after just two cooks. I had to do video conferences to show what was wrong both times that took 30+ minutes each time. I saw other reviews that showed similar problems - my suggestion would be - if folks have similar problems, send both parts to avoid trying one fix then needing a second and taking 4-5 weeks to get your Traeger up and running. What part is not need have us send it back (postage paid). Traeger management - do better. You have loyal fans...keep us that way!
worked like a charm. The auger motor had locked up ON THANKSGIVING morning--mid turkey, so i ordered/installed a new auger. Unfortunately, (as I suspected would happen), the lack of fire in the fire box caused the rod to burn out as (I suspect) it kept trying to make fire, but there was nothing to burn. So...ordered this from Traeger, came pretty quickly (not quickly enough to save the turkey), and it solved my issue. installation instructions weren't the clearest, but we got 'er done.
Since I had it apart I replaced the hot rod at the same time I replaced the fire pit it's good to go for another 8 years
Product worked well, easy installation. Wish it included extra tie wraps
Same Quality as original part that fits the new fire pot. In this case I did not have to replace the original it just need to be adjusted to the 1/4 inch or less adjustment.
Better heat up after replacing this also replace the temp sensor
It starts the fire. It lives in a very hot environment. It will eventually need to be replaced. It usually goes out when the cook is important. Keep a spare handy.
my starter Hot rod went bad, ordered a replacement, Directions that came with were clear and concise!!!!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
