I've held off on a writing a review on this BBQ for almost a year but have decided to now because of this issue. The BBQ itself is great, well made, solid manufacturing, consistent even heating but one flaw in my opinion. The casting, or box, has this odd design that makes the upper half of it curve over the grilling area. This makes the smoke constantly blow back and into the face of the user all the time. Wind or no wind it makes it almost unbearable at times to concentrate on what you are doing because your eyes are irritated and watering. It's unfortunate it's like this because I love to BBQ and I know Broil King is a reputable name and makes quality products but this issue needs to be known.

we purchased this BBQ few years ago with the intention of upgrading from our old basic BBQ. So glad we did! Its been stored outdoors (with a Broil King cover) for the duration of its time with us and never stopped! We get great results each time we use it and absolutely love using the recipe book that came with the grill! The wing recipe is our fave!

I bought this BBQ five months ago, and have enjoyed every cooking experience that I've had on it! Heats up very quickly and retains heat well.

Barbecues evenly. Love that the propane tank tray slides out for easy access to turn it on/off and change the tank. That is great and so convenient! I barbecue all year round so the light up knobs are great when it gets darker outside earlier.

For the most part this grill is great. My ignition switch broken early on and I have been lighting this with a lighter. Not ideal. I have some hot / warm spots on the grill. The grill box, burners, and lid are all in good shape. I am on my 3rd cover. I do not like the wheels as this takes a bit of effort to pull this thing into an acceptable grilling locations.

I have had my 420 for just over 3 years and the lid coating is flaking and peeling off...overall its a waste of money.

I bought it yesterday and found around 2" inch long cut on the main grilling body under the knob light button. It looks the front panel part was cut by a saw matchin. I should have returned it before my 2-hr assembly work. I was disappointed with the poor quality contol. One of my decision points is this is made in NA. Similar to some reviewers, the two burners on the left side are too hot even on low. I am seriously thinking of returning it.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
