Worked perfectly. Barbecued the best pork tenderloin ever with the iGrill 2. Preheated the grill; placed the tenderloin, with the probe inserted, on the grill; closed the cover and monitored the temperature on my iPhone with the iGrill app. It let me know when the 145 degree temperature was reached. The only thing I had to do was maintain the grill temperature between 300 and 350 degrees.

I started out with this thermometer when I started getting into barbecue. It's a reasonably reliable unit, but I did have some occasional issues where the probes were giving me cooler temperatures than when I would get on my instant-read (never hurts to double check), and I'd end up with overcooked meat. The bluetooth range isn't good, which is okay for me because I tend to babysit my smoker on long cooks, anyway, but if I run inside and for something and lose connectivity, it affects the analytics at the end of the cook (for those who pore over that stuff to learn from any mistakes you might have made). If you're really serious about barbecue (especially for big cuts like pork butt or brisket), I'd recommend looking elsewhere, but this is a *great*, affordable option for someone who's just getting started or just wants a solid everyday thermometer.

I like the igrill2. Reads the grill temperature very accurately. I have 2 suggestions for improvement of the app. 1 Display the temperature and timer on the same page 2 Make the end of timer ringer adjustable. It's hard to hear mine.

I purchased this for use with my smoker. I found that the probe that came with my smoker wasn't very accurate. However, this one is easy to use, easy to set-up and pretty accurate.

Get the ambient temp probe also, and you can turn your kettle into a smoker. I have done spare ribs, pork shoulder, chicken, sausages. This is a quality product (not much of that around these days), and works exactly as advertised. I also use it in my kitchen for roasting in the oven.

I've had mine several years. It's the 4 probe version but otherwise the same. Yesterday it went into the trash. There had been some suspicious readings. A calibration check using ice water and boiling water showed that two of the four probes differed by 30 degrees with neither being right. The remaining probes were close but still a few degrees off.

I got the igrill3 for my dad and it is amazing. I wish I would have bought it for him sooner. He loves it and it has improved his grilling skills!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
