Smaller than expected. Have a four burner. Weber recommended this because I did not want to convert to a complete griddle. I wanted a half-and-half if that makes sense. Well after you take half the grill out, this unit will come up roughly 3 inches shy of being a perfect fit, leaving a gap on one side. Happy with the quality of the product so I'll live with it.
I ordered directly from Weber, input my model and serial number, told which one to order and guess what it doesn't fit my grill. Too heavy to return out the $99.99 paid for cast iron.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear the griddle insert did not fit your grill. We are here to help. Please look for an outreach email from our Care Team soon. Thank you!
It is very sturdy and solid. I wish the instructions were more specific about heating and using. The instructions say not to strike with metal objects, and this has me conerned about chopping chip steak meat and veggies on it. Upon it's first use, my eggs stuck. I am not giving up. I will practice until I master it.
Haven't had it long but have used it 3 times already and I love it . Cleans easy , fits perfectly and cooks amazingly ! Did I say I love it , you get the best of both worlds .
It's so nice to be able to put the griddle into my Genesis grill and have side-by-side grates and grill. I can prepare the potatoes on the griddle while the chicken breast sizzles on the grate next to it! I didn't realize I could use these griddles on my grill and was pleasantly surprised!
Super happy with this griddle!! You take out one grill grate and set this piece in its place. the cooking surface is then about two inches lower than the grill grates to its left and is that much closer to the flames. Has worked great for me with some veggies. Also serves as an awesome warming station with the flame off underneath it. I thought it was going to be cast iron but its actually enamel coated. I thought I would prefer cast iron but so far this is at least as good. Very sturdy. I have an elevated fire pit with a grate that can swing over the top. I for sure would be able to use this there as well.
The Griddle fits great and is working fine. We just need to get used to cooking on it rather than the grates. Much smaller place to cook on it than I was picturing.
the griddle needs to be larger and it has too much slope. my eggs slid right into the trough
Questions & Answers
Hi Gary. Depending on the age of your Weber Genesis, this may fit. Weber limits this to these grill models: Genesis II 300/400/600 series
Asked by Gary | Answered by WesleyHi Bja. Being that this Weber Griddle insert is porcelain-coated, metal tools would be fine.
Asked by Bja | Answered by WesleyHi Bja. Depending on the model number of your Genesis grill, this Weber griddle might work. It is designed for the Genesis II grills. Being that it is porcelain coated, it is unlikely to rust as long as the coating stays intact and undamaged.
Asked by Bja | Answered by WesleyHi Bill. Yes, this Weber Griddle will fit the Genesis grill.
Asked by Bill | Answered by WesleyHi Chris. This Weber griddle will fit on your Genesis II.
Asked by Chris | Answered by WesleyHi Alden. This griddle should fit your Weber Genesis II LX 240.
Asked by Alden | Answered by WesleyThe slope is fairly gentle and typically a pancake or egg will set quickly enough on the bottom to avoid down the griddle.
Asked by Squig | Answered by LoganYes, you can do that. The griddles rest on the same notches as the grill grates. Only cautionary note with using twin griddles: they are going to give more ambient heat inside the grill since they are basically two solid cast iron components. Make sure the bottom of your grill is cleaned out and with no grease buildup. Otherwise, you may risk grease flair from the griddle's ambient heat.
Asked by Jen | Answered by srtified392Yes you should be able to
Asked by Jen | Answered by hermanhatfieldthis is a powerhorse of a griddle. Kids can't lift it. :) Nothing can damage it. We use heavy duty metal spatulas to make our smashburgers. Scrape it clean when done, leave it on or take it off, no matter. Takes super high heat. You won't be sorry. Practically indestructable. Don't leave under water or soaking in anyway, however. Treat it as you would your cast iron griddle you have in your pan drawer.
Asked by Dee | Answered by bekyviceIt's best to take it off when you're done using it.
Asked by Dee | Answered by hermanhatfieldHi Dee. You can leave it on the grill, but it is recommended to clean it after each use. A spatula and set of tongs is always a good choice, of which Weber has a selection: https://www.bbqguys.com/grill-accessories/weber-grill-accessories?ff3=432851&ff3=148415&ff3=65235&ff3=62701&ff3=65547&ff3=65519&ff3=65249&ff3=65259&ff3=65529&ff3=65205&ff3=63225&wts=quick_shipping

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
