The bracket needs to be a heavier gauge metal. The weight of the motor opens the bracket just enough to allow the main rod to slip out and discontinues the rotation. I had to rig it!!

It is the quietest rotisserie motor I've ever had, and I've had a few. I didn't give it 5 stars because the bracket didn't line up the motor and the spit, so I had to make some adjustments. In fact, the bracket is aluminum and not very sturdy.

I don't know what these reviews are talking about it fit my grill perfectly and made amazing chicken. If anything changes I'll change my review but I regret not pulling the trigger sooner

The motor housing is sturdy, works well and easy to use. The spike and prong hardware are high quality as well. However, the bracket that holds the spike on to the barbeque is somewhat flimsy and bends easily. It flexes under heavier weights.

I love this rotisserie! I have been grilling for decades and cannot believe how things taste from this new tool. I'm sure I'll be using this exclusively for the next few months.

I looked at that online store and saw many options at lower prices. I stuck with weber. My first cook was a single chicken. I have never been so bored while cooking on the grill, lol. The chicken came out delicious. Then for my second cook I decided to put the rotisserie to the test. NOTE: Please do not do this. I did three chickens. It needed some extra counter weights. The motor struggled but in the end all the chickens were cooked evenly and were delicious. There are no regrets spending a little more to stick with a weber product. RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. T shaped counterweights with coarse threads for easy off and on. The current weights make the shaft too long for this version of the rotisserie. 2. narrower forks. the forks that are provided took some manipulation to secure all 4 prongs into the chicken. I would have scooped up a couple of sets if they were available. 3. protective sleeve for the forks. would like to see them included but would consider a purchase. I offered to cook three chickens to purchase a second set up, Now I am getting the basket for the second setup

Bought this years ago so I could smoke our Thanksgiving turkey. I didn't use the rotisserie, but used the spacer so I could fit a 22 pound turkey on the grill. It worked great and the turkey was delicious. For Christmas we used the rotisserie to cook a prime rib cut of beef. This turned out great, too

The motor doesn't fit snug or secure on the bracket. It just loosely sits there, so as the food turns there is a lot of play and the motor kind of shifts. But at the end of they day, the spit spins, and the food comes out good
