Website is wrong, this isn't for a Summit 670, it is for a smaller grill.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the confusion. It sounds like your specific Summit 670 model may need a different part. We're here to help! Please look for an email outreach from our Support team soon. Thanks!
We thought we has a bad gas bottle but when the replacement acted the same, we concluded the regulator was defective. Ordered a new one and it shipped and was received very fast. installation went easy and now grill works AOK.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that you have had issues with your grill's regulator. Our Quality Assurance team checks every hose and regulator assembly before it leaves our warehouse, so we are surprised to hear about the problems you're having. Our Support team reached out to youto make sure that we have done everything we can to make this right. Sometimes an issue that seems to be a faulty regulator is really being caused by a safety mechanism in the grill. Once you're sure there's no leak, these steps can help: 1) Make sure the lid of your grill is open and all the control knobs on the grill are in the OFF position (including the side burner knob, if you have one). 2) Turn on your gas supply by opening the valve on top of the tank. 3) Wait for 60 seconds for pressure to build up in the hose before doing anything. The pressure is going to push the device into place to give it the “all clear” for normal operation. Waiting for the pressure to build up is the most important part of this process. 4) After you’ve waited, go ahead and light your grill as you normally would by turning the appropriate burner one at a time to start/high and hitting the igniter button. 5) Light all the main burners and set them to high, then close the lid. Give your grill about 10 to 15 minutes and it should be in the 500 to 550 F range, which means your grill is now working properly.
Easy to get at the old one to replace it with the new one. Installed and fixed the problem.
Turned mine on after using it day before, and it was leaking. Thought it was regulator. With tank on ground, I hooked up one more time, and no leaks. Tried putting a little pressure on regulator and hose, and it would leak again. The design of coupler ain't the best, but I bet many of those saying theirs leaks simply are trying to couple to tank with too much pressure on line and connectors. Finding this out saved me from having to replace mine. You gotta get the tank and hose situated so when you line up and connect, it isn't pulling on the hose at all. It is possible.

After a previous replacement with a generic regulator that failed in a year I quickly learned that it pays to go with OEM Weber parts!
Weber makes best grill on market. I have a 2007 genius that still looks new. Had to replace regulator and CS top notch. Weber for life
The grill is working as well as it did the day I bought it. I could not be happier with Weber and the support system around their products. Customer service helped diagnos the issue and sent the correct part quickly. Installation was a breeze. Prior to installing the new regulator my dog would start shaking and would try to hide. There was a high pitched hiss that only she could here. All is good now.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
