Take Your Wood-Fired Cooking to the Next Level with Traeger Pro 22
With more precise temperature control, rugged all-terrain wheels and a stronger body, the Pro Series pellet grill can tackle any grilling challenge. The Pro series 22 pellet grill is constructed with a stamped bronze lid, powder coated steel, and boasts 20,000 BTUs of cooking power.
Small Footprint, Big Grilling Surface
The main grill grate is 22 X 19 inches of porcelain-coated grilling surface accompanied by a 22 X 7-inch extra grill rack for a total grilling area of 572 square inches, letting you cook a full meal all at one time.
The Pro 22 Does it All: Low & Slow or Searing Hot
The versatility of the Series 22 pellet grill allows you to smoke at temperatures as low as 180 degrees and then crank it up to 450 degrees to sear to perfection. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake a pizza right on your grill and do not have to turn your meat, unless cooking with high temperatures or if you want even grill marks.
Keep Track with the Digital Pro Controller
The Digital Pro controller displays the temperature inside the grill on the bright blue LED panel and is monitored by a resistance temperature detector (RTD) probe which takes 60 readings per minute to maintain the preset temperatures within 15 degrees. Dual meat probe capability gives you perfect temperature readings on two items at once while grilling.
Easy to Start, Safe to Use
Traeger grills feature an auto-start system that is simple and safe to use. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake a pizza right on your grill or slow smoke a large brisket. Turning and flipping different kinds of meat will be necessary at high temperatures.
Efficient Pellet Consumption
When you turn on the grill, the auger begins to feed pellets into the firepot while the draft induction fan feeds air into it. The igniter rod is activated and glows red hot for the first four minutes to ignite the pellets in the firepot. These cost-effective pellets burn at a rate of only 2 lbs per hour on high heat, 1 lb per hour on medium heat, and only 1/2 lb per hour when smoking. The Pro series also adds a clean-out to the hopper, allowing you to quickly change the smoke flavor of the pellets while grilling.

My wife bought me a Traeger for my birthday; the spokesman told us it would change our lives. I have only cooked on it once I grilled steaks and I have never had a steak that great before in life! Perfectly grilled juicy better than Morton's; can't wait to try baby backs and the hickory pellets

This grill was the best purchase I have ever made when it comes to grills. I was a little apprehensive at the price but worth every dollar I spent. This grill takes smoking and grilling to another level when it comes to flavor and tenderness. I smoked and cooked chicken on this grill and its juiciness and flavor was off the charts. When I pulled the meat probe out of the chicken it actually squirted juice. I highly recommend this grill it will be the first and last grill you will ever buy!!!!!
I have had my grill for about 3 weeks now and I love it!! Easy to use and best flavor ever! Meats vegetables and pizza it's all amazing! Shipping was a bit of a hassle. Hardware for shelf came about a week after the grill and the grill cover came 3 weeks late but it was all worth it! Front folding shelf fits a little tight but still works. I will never own another grill and would recommend a Traeger to anyone!! Lastly I live in a 3rd story apartment and was unsure if the smoke would bother the neighbors but I haven't had any complaints yet.
This grill is unreal. I was back and forth between this and a certain popular large green grill you may have heard of. I chose this due to its versatility simplicity portability and overall fantastic buying process. First the size. I was between this and a bigger one but was assured this would be plenty big. It looks small in pics but you should go see one at a Traeger dealer. Looks bigger in person. I cooked two large rib racks 40 chicken wings and a skillet full of jalapeno poppers on it at one time with a little room to spare. It's super easy to start up and maintain a temp. It keeps itself anywhere you choose between 225 and 450 with ease. If you open the cover it'll drop of course but gets back to temp very quickly. I've made ribs pulled pork steaks burgers chicken breast chicken wings and lots of veggies on it so far (had it not even 2 weeks). They've all been great except the chicken breast. That might have been my fault though. I didn't realize it until I was comparing models but the saw horse legs really made a difference. It seems so much more sturdy than other grills even from Traeger. It's good because I roll it regularly from my patio to my garage and it's super easy with the wheels and the sturdy legs. The only negative I have about it is that the meat probes aren't instant read. It takes a minute for them to catch up but if you leave the probes in you won't have any problems. Also a 5 gallon bucket doesn't really fit between the hopper clean out and the legs so you could spill some pellets if your'e not careful. By no means a deal breaker but something to keep in mind when using it. Everything from buying the grill setting up the grill to using the grill has been fantastic. The sales experience was amazing before during and after the sale. There's a million recipes online and all sorts of sites/communities dedicated to these. I highly recommend you look into this. I'm Traeger's newest biggest fan.
Couldn't be happier with the Pro22. Love it love it love it!!! So easy and yet so refined. Took 15 minutes to unpack and within the hour we were cooking chickens and watching the magic happen. I have a custom outdoor kitchen my only mistake was not building a Traeger in the kitchen permantly. The heck with the other grills and smokers we have Traeger knocks it out of the park with a total home run/TKO!!! One satisfied customer here!!!
I am a long time BBQ lover a backyard (my own) pit boss and a compitition BBQ judge. I always thought using a pellet grill was let's say taking the easy way our maybe even cheating. I had an off set stitch burner for many years and I could produce some pretty good Q on it if I do say so myself. I started spending a little time with my buddy Chad at his BBQ supply store. After seeing and tasting what he was pulling off of his traegers I began to soften my position on the pellet grilles. Well last November I did it. I became a pellet head. I purchased a Pro 22. I gave my stick burner to my nephew and have not regretted it for a second. There is most definitely a learning curve and I am learning. I have done spatchcock Cornish hens wings St. Louis ribs Boston butt and some killer bacon wrapped pork tenderloins. Everything has turned out as good or mostly better than anything I produced on the stick burner. I could never see myself going back to the all day long fire fighting that my old grill required. I love my new Traeger and look forward to pulling something out of the freezer every weekend. Happy q-en to ya David

Great high quality grill for the money. Easy start-up and operation. Good instructions on preparing and smoking various types of meals. Highly recommend.
I am brand new at this! I'm 72 and learning new tricks! I did some initial cooking when the snow was two feet deep but now it's getting more fun. It got up to 45 today. I have never had better baby back's or pork butt in my life. Even with my lousy memory an having to dart back into the house to re-read the instructions I am able to my Traeger up and running and cooking to a T. This is the greatest grill/smoker I have ever bought. I can't wait for Memorial Day and the 4th for our neighborhood BBQ's. I had a few questions at first called customer service and they were able to get me going in no time at all. Great customer support and they even spoke English!
Our daughters surprised us with a Traeger Bronson 20 Tailgater. We had been looking and looking and decided on this one for our motorhome but our daughters beat us to it. It is amazing. Ribs are so delicious. Used the 3-2-1 recipe. Apple pie is so good too and snickerdoodles are amazing. The slightly smoke flavor is a nice surprise. The campers around us was wondering where that wonderful smell was coming from. So happy with the Traeger we bought our daughters the Pro 22 so they could enjoy cooking on one too. They are amazing cooks and BBQ ers too.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
