Take Your Wood-Fired Cooking to the Next Level with Traeger Pro 22
With more precise temperature control, rugged all-terrain wheels and a stronger body, the Pro Series pellet grill can tackle any grilling challenge. The Pro series 22 pellet grill is constructed with a stamped bronze lid, powder coated steel, and boasts 20,000 BTUs of cooking power.
Small Footprint, Big Grilling Surface
The main grill grate is 22 X 19 inches of porcelain-coated grilling surface accompanied by a 22 X 7-inch extra grill rack for a total grilling area of 572 square inches, letting you cook a full meal all at one time.
The Pro 22 Does it All: Low & Slow or Searing Hot
The versatility of the Series 22 pellet grill allows you to smoke at temperatures as low as 180 degrees and then crank it up to 450 degrees to sear to perfection. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake a pizza right on your grill and do not have to turn your meat, unless cooking with high temperatures or if you want even grill marks.
Keep Track with the Digital Pro Controller
The Digital Pro controller displays the temperature inside the grill on the bright blue LED panel and is monitored by a resistance temperature detector (RTD) probe which takes 60 readings per minute to maintain the preset temperatures within 15 degrees. Dual meat probe capability gives you perfect temperature readings on two items at once while grilling.
Easy to Start, Safe to Use
Traeger grills feature an auto-start system that is simple and safe to use. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake a pizza right on your grill or slow smoke a large brisket. Turning and flipping different kinds of meat will be necessary at high temperatures.
Efficient Pellet Consumption
When you turn on the grill, the auger begins to feed pellets into the firepot while the draft induction fan feeds air into it. The igniter rod is activated and glows red hot for the first four minutes to ignite the pellets in the firepot. These cost-effective pellets burn at a rate of only 2 lbs per hour on high heat, 1 lb per hour on medium heat, and only 1/2 lb per hour when smoking. The Pro series also adds a clean-out to the hopper, allowing you to quickly change the smoke flavor of the pellets while grilling.

Got this as our Christmas present this year...have used it twice so far and have had two perfect meals! Smoked a turkey in the beginning of the month and today smoked the.most.awesome.prime rib roast! My husband loves it and is making his smoking to-do list!
Easy to Assemble. It shipped really quickly and I was surprised how quickly I put it together. Cooked Wings first and I should have dried the wings out more. I was a little impatient to get something going. Coming from my homemade UDS this was a premium upgrade from what I was used to doing to smoke. I will be smoking fresh salmon I caught in Alaska this summer. Can't wait. Don't wait for the right time get off the fence and order one of these things.
i was on the fence for about a year. I finally bought one! I could not be happier. My only regret is I did not do it sooner. My wife doesn't like smoked meat but has asked me to repeat a smoked chicken. Both my kids love the process and are actively involved. The recipes and instructions are easy. Putting the grill together was very easy. Seriously great product. Wish I had bought one years back. No I am not getting paid or did I get a free grill.
I was very excited when it arrived. The smoker was very easy to put together and the instructions were easy to read and understand. I have cooked on my smoker just about every day since I've gotten it and I have not had a bad meal yet. So easy to use and good is amazing
Works great. My only complaint is the entire grill gets extremely hot and handles lossen easily so I'm continually having to tighten the handles.

I used "fill in the blanks" because I wanted to use "Smoker," "Grill," etc. but couldn't decide which it was best at. But the bottom line is that it's great at everything. I finally decided to put to rest my 45 year-old Brinkmann offset smoker and knew that what I was going to replace it with had to be a good substitute...so I did my homework. There are certainly more expensive replacements on the market, but having earned my wings on a $100 heavy metal smoker, I knew that I didn't have to buy a Lexus when I knew Uber or Lyft would get me there just fine. I got the Pro22. It's perfect for what I know I want to do. Despite what the instructions tell you, you CAN put it together yourself. I'm 64, have a bad back, and can barely walk from here to there without holding onto something (OK, a bit of an exaggeration, but you get my point. If you're familiar with the directions, I was finished before I emptied the six pack they use as a reference). But I literally did put it together alone. If I can figure out how, so can you (hint: drink fast!). Took me less than an hour. I fired up that bad boy to season it and that's when I fell in love with it. Took a few minutes to understand the directions but once I did, it was so friggin' simple! I let it burn off at 400+ for an hour, then turned it down to the cool down cycle. What I like so much about it is the ease of firing it up. With a standard offset smoker, I had to wait while my charcoal heated, then had to wait after I dumped that into my firebox to light my wood (oak and apple logs), then had to wait until the I was able to regulate the temp where I wanted it, etc, etc. That was always an hour+ process. With this grill, I can be up and running consistently within less than 20 minutes. If you appreciate the benefit of a gas grill, then you'll REALLY appreciate this style of cooking. Running out of words I can use for this review, so I have to end with IT IS WITHOUT A DOUBT, A FANTASTIC GRILL/SMOKER.

I love my Traeger grill. I have a Papa Murphy's pizza place just up the street, and the combination has caused my family to gain an average of 5 pounds since I receive my grill three months ago. Our cholesterol has also gone up significantly. But it is all worth it, because of the definite quality-of-life improvement! I keep the grill at the edge of my garage, and just roll up the garage door when it is time to cook.

We're so glad that you love it! Thank you for the feedback.
I agree with Lee (except for last statement). DO buy the cover if you are going to store outside on the deck as I do. The cover is super heavy duty impervious to elements and strong winds won't even budge it.
Love my 22. This is one of the greatest grills - smokers I've owned. From rods to jerky it the best.
Saw the infomercial on tv and kicked around purchasing the Traegar. After careful consideration I bit the bullet and did. Once you get the hang of it it is easier and faster than a charcoal and gas grill plus you get the great flavor of what ever type of wood flavor you want. I was scared to attempt to cook brisket on the other grills but with the Traegar it is very easy and great flavor. A bag of pellets last as long or longer than a 20 # bottle of propane. Storage of the pellets is easy just go to your hardware store and buy a % gallon bucket with lid and keep it sealed until use. I have had my Traegar for about a year and a half the charcoal and gas grills hardly ever get used any more. If you want real smoked flavor and convenience this grill should be highly considered. (Don't buy the cover you will never use it.)

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
