Take Your Wood-Fired Cooking to the Next Level with Traeger Pro 22
With more precise temperature control, rugged all-terrain wheels and a stronger body, the Pro Series pellet grill can tackle any grilling challenge. The Pro series 22 pellet grill is constructed with a stamped bronze lid, powder coated steel, and boasts 20,000 BTUs of cooking power.
Small Footprint, Big Grilling Surface
The main grill grate is 22 X 19 inches of porcelain-coated grilling surface accompanied by a 22 X 7-inch extra grill rack for a total grilling area of 572 square inches, letting you cook a full meal all at one time.
The Pro 22 Does it All: Low & Slow or Searing Hot
The versatility of the Series 22 pellet grill allows you to smoke at temperatures as low as 180 degrees and then crank it up to 450 degrees to sear to perfection. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake a pizza right on your grill and do not have to turn your meat, unless cooking with high temperatures or if you want even grill marks.
Keep Track with the Digital Pro Controller
The Digital Pro controller displays the temperature inside the grill on the bright blue LED panel and is monitored by a resistance temperature detector (RTD) probe which takes 60 readings per minute to maintain the preset temperatures within 15 degrees. Dual meat probe capability gives you perfect temperature readings on two items at once while grilling.
Easy to Start, Safe to Use
Traeger grills feature an auto-start system that is simple and safe to use. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake a pizza right on your grill or slow smoke a large brisket. Turning and flipping different kinds of meat will be necessary at high temperatures.
Efficient Pellet Consumption
When you turn on the grill, the auger begins to feed pellets into the firepot while the draft induction fan feeds air into it. The igniter rod is activated and glows red hot for the first four minutes to ignite the pellets in the firepot. These cost-effective pellets burn at a rate of only 2 lbs per hour on high heat, 1 lb per hour on medium heat, and only 1/2 lb per hour when smoking. The Pro series also adds a clean-out to the hopper, allowing you to quickly change the smoke flavor of the pellets while grilling.

Prepare to get slapped in the face by your TONGUE !!!! Easy to put together instructions. The food is life changing and you will never need to over pay for another STEAK SEAFOOD CHICKEN BURGER PIZZA whatever again in your life. You can eat like a king every night for 1/3 the cost of a over priced restaurant meal. OHHHH did I mention the TASTE !!! OUT OF THIS WORLD !!! BIG THUMBS UP TRAEGER GRILLS !!!
My Traeger Pro Series 22 has really exceeded my expectations. I did read from other users that it is a great smoker but not a good grill. I think it works great as a grill. After grilling chicken pieces I baked a pan of brownies and they were as good as if they were done in the oven. Traeger advertises that but frankly I didn't believe it would work that well. My problem is with the temp probes. The first time I used the unit they worked fine. After that they haven't worked at all. I needed to go out and by a separate digital meat temp probe which works perfectly except for having to open the grill to check the meat. I also noticed a temperature swing of at least 25 degrees during my last cook. I was smoking three racks of ribs at 225 deg. We will see if that continues next time. For the most part I would have to say I love it and would do it again. It is a perfect size for me and I have already appreciated being able to empty the hopper
I have been cooking barbeque for 25 years. I use everything from gas burners to stick smokers. I put off buying a pellet smoker until now. Best decision I have ever made! Consistent temps and even heat. It is my go to cooker now.
I have had my Traeger for little over a month now. I have grilled steaks burgers pork bellies pizza and chicken breasts on this thing. They turned out pretty good except it wasn't set it and forget it. I had to check the food regularly to ensure I didn't over cook it because like 1 other review my temperature just wouldn't get to the proper temp but it was definitely getting hot. In an attempt to diagnose why I was having this issue when only 1 other person has had this issue I noticed my internal probe was touching the side of the grill. I bent it slightly inward so it was no longer touching the side. I now get to temperature within the 15 minutes and the last chicken breast came out perfect. I strongly recommend this grill for anyone who not only loves to grill but even just enjoys good food.
I have had my Treager for over a month I've cooked brisketribs dogs burgers chicken legs on this grill and no one has anything negative to say about my meats I'm truly impressed with this grill considering a bigger one for next year
Since we got the Pro22 we haven't used the gas grill or oven. Everything from ribs to brisket meatloaf and Mac and cheese come out fantastic. I made pulled pork for a party our Daughter had and everybody loved it. Simple to assemble and easy to use. My only regret is that I didn't get a bigger one. lol
I have the bronze pro 22 ..but the flaw is on almost every traeger that is the plate mounted on the legs on the end of grill with handle for moving it.. should be cut differently..If you move your grill often like I do the plate hits you I. The shin's as you try to push that grill...it either needs a cut out arch or to be set alitte higher up... I put my traeger away in a she'd after each use...So it's completely protected ..And everyone curses trying to get it there ..or out..Other then that Love it
I have had experience with a offset wood fired smoker before but never really made anything awesome. Had some decent but not mouthwatering results with brisket ribs and pork but. That has all changed. I got the Pro 22 yesterday assembled it cured it and reviewed recipes and You Tube for pointers. I made beef ribs today and they turned out fantastic!! It's almost a set it and forget it with the digital system. I can't wait to get to the butcher and make some more smoke. I'm not looking to win a BBQ competition; I just want to be able to make great smoked meat for my friends and family. I have the answer in my new grill.
I have to tell you that this grill is worth every penny! The flavor you get cooking on this grill is unreal. But you have to have patience to truly use all its potential. Smoking meats pizza and even pasta is unreal! Worth every minute of the experience. My only complaint is the fan. It looks flimsy and I am worried about it breaking eventually but only time will tell! I was always a Weber guy but now I am a Traeger enthusiast!!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
