Used on-line tech support to help diagnose the problem and then ordered the part. It was delivered quickly and installed very easily. My 9 year old Traeger was back up and running.

So my heat rod burned up. So I put a new one in and an hour later after shutting the smoker off it was still smoking. So I called traeger and the friendly staff helped me identify that the controller was bad and not shutting off the heat rod. So I ordered a new controller which is an upgrade from what I had and just matched up the colors one at a time unplugging from the old one and plugging into the new control board. I watched the video by traeger on how to do this and it works like a champ!! So happy to have my smoker back up and running. Hats off to traeger to make a product that can be fixed easily.

I have an older small unit that just gave me 3 settings this upgrade has now given me 7 settings and I love it. Also it was very easy to switch out the units.

I was having trouble with my old thermostat and had changed the settings several times before deciding (after talking with customer service) to purchase the updated thermostat. Easy to install turned it on that day for a test run an the temps for Smoke and 180 were right on. Proof of the pudding will be the next time I do the ribs. May rate this product again right now I am going with a high rating.

I was pleased with the price and quick delivery of the replacement unit. I was less pleased with the absence of environmental protection; at a minimum I would have expected to see the unit's circuit card dipped in sealant to protect it. This is especially true since the area containing the control panel and the pellet bin is open at the underside so humidity splash or curious critters can gain access. I suspect in five years I will have to replace this subassembly again! Still love my smoker and would not trade it for any comparable product!

I have owned a older model of this controller and the reason I bought a new one is that the control nob broke off so you need to be kind to it when you turn it on and off. The new one seems to be built the same way but with a new setting shut down cycle not sure what the advantage is to have that cycle. First time I used it I got a auger fire and had to empty the pellet bin??? Otherwise the controller works the same as the old one. Gives you a lot of settings.

I purchased my Traeger 3 weeks ago and have only gotten to use it 4 times thus far. It took my 2 times with the instructions im a guy what do you expect lol. Now I have it dialed in amazing is the only words I can use. Just like the commercial says set it and forget it. I have never smoked Steak then cook it that was a first. The juices ran out like never before. Ribs are amazing my wife even ate my cooking. Doing a Pork Butt today and Chicken tomorrow. The coolest Grill on the Planet. If you read the directions it works great. Good job guys you have my vote.

Well Traeger customer service and tech support were very helpful; however my grill is over 20 years old and has the old 6 pin wiring single plug so this product will not work on my grill without hard wiring. Bummer had to return for a refund.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
