Extremely disappointed in the overall performance of this grill. I previously owned a Q 1000 for many years, and that grill was fantastic, unfortunately because of some damage I bought the Q 1200 as a replacement. Almost two years of use now, and I find that the performance lacking compared to my old Q 1000. Recently, the grill would not heat up well, barely making 500°, and after adding some steaks the temperature would drop to near 400° which it would never recover from. This of course led to poor searing of the meat, so basically a light brown and warm steak. My previous Q 1000 worked equally as well as my Summit and Genesis at home. I went through all the troubleshooting steps for low heat and yellow flame. As of now I have replaced the regulator, the hose from the problem tank to regulator, and the burner tube. Additionally, I also tried cooking with the 1lb propane bottle to isolate my large tank from the equation. It now will heat up to 550° and did a great job searing my steak on one side. After turning the steak, the temperature dropped as I opened the lid to quickly flip the steak. At this point I once again noticed the temperature not recovering and now the entire burner tube was all yellow flames. Again, no sear on the second side, and another ruined steak. I have given up on the Q 1200 and really any Q product at this point. If I could go zero stars I would.

Cooks very well. Like it very much! I wish I bought the bigger grill q2800...didnt realize how small it was, but too late to swap out since I used it a couple times too come to this conclusion. Bought about a month ago. Will continue cooking outside!!

So far I have enjoyed the grill. I have a larger grill but needing something when only cooking for myself makes this so convenient. I do miss the grill flavor that comes from a seasoned grill that has the flavorizer bars . To be honest if I am cooking a steak or such that I want the good grill flavor I just throw it on the bigger grill, but this small one is ok for chicken or veggies. It says to clean thoroughly each use and we all know that mean never getting the true grill flavor

Just the right size. Everyone markets grills large enough to grill a cow! We are cooking for two, so its the perfect size. Heats up fast and cooks perfectly. We use a 20 lb propane tank and love it. This one replaces one we had for years.

It's hard to control the temperature unless the lid is left open. Otherwise the grill meets all my needs. It heats up fast so it's ready to cook quickly.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
