I've used the half moon cast iron grill once so far, I like it!
This accessory truly shines in combination with the Big Joe's massive size and the two-tier rack. My go-to setup involves putting the griddle on the upper rack (for indirect heat) using the flat side up. This is exactly how I heat my sides, just as I mentioned: buns, tortillas, and quesadillas come out perfectly. The heavy cast iron absorbs the gentle, smoky heat from below, creating a perfectly consistent, non-stick warming plate that doesn't scorch or dry out the delicate bread products. It essentially acts as a gentle oven on the upper level while the main grilling happens below.
Just used this to finish off some steaks I reverse seared on the Kamado Joe Classic 1. It was easy to clean up and had a great sear!

Bought two of these to make smash burgers and get that cast iron sear and it works very well. Heavy and durable.

Had for about three years and love it when I want to make something on flat iron and grill at the same time
After a couple of cooks getting used to my Kamado Joe, I wanted to do some smash burgers. I purchased the KJ reversable griddle and what a great addition. I use it as a partial divide and cook initially, then will smash and sear on the heated cast iron. It works great for burgers, steaks, and veggies. I've even grilled onions on it and wow, it really does a great job.

Hi Greg. We would suggest caring for the Kamado Joe Half Moon cast iron griddle as you would any other cast iron cookware. Hand washing and keeping it seasoned.

Hi Joy. Unfortunately, Kamado Joe does not make a griddle for the Kettle Joe.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
