First of all, this is not a "hinged" basket because it has no hinges. It is two separate pieces that fit together but which fall apart when the basket is flipped. All of the food fell out and there is no way to secure it closed (I tried everything I could think of). The only place this basket is going is into the garbage.

This makes grilling burgers (especially turkey burgers, which can be very fragile) super easy. Lock them in. Flip them. And you're good. Also good with asparagus and other vegetables. Love it!

I am amazed at how quickly I feel in love with this Grilling Basket! This is so great for grilling fish! Since the fish is locked into place it doesn't break apart when you flip it! AND it's nonstick, so they come out looking beautiful! It is also works perfectly for grilling vegetables, again, locked in place so none fall through the grill. Next I am taking it camping, it'll make great burgers over a campfire! I am so happy I discovered this!

I love this grilling basket and how I can use it for kabobs as well as my chicken.It makes things so much easier on the grill without making a huge mess and easy clean up.I'm thankful for receiving this for free in exchange for my honest opinions.

I recently started a vegetable garden and grow eggplant and zucchini. The small eggplants can easily fall through the grill but this basket helped keep them together. In addition, I was able to separate homegrown vegetables from the other produce by keeping them in the basket. My only complaint is that while it is adjustable for 4 different heights, the adjustment is only on side which means that one end is always at a constant (larger) size. I wish it would be possible to adjust on both ends so that the basket does not end up looking like a wedge at most positions. Other than that, this is a great product and the handle is thin so the grill is almost completely closed during use.

This grill basket is perfect for vegetables, shrimp, and anything that you don't want to put on the grill directly! I used it for asparagus, corn, shrimp, and salmon. Nothing stuck to the basket as it is non stick. The long handle was great so that you don't get burned trying to move it around or take it off of the grill. The food came out tender with no hot or cold spots. Did not need aluminum foil to wrap the food in as the basket holds it all without falling through! This basket is the best accessory for any grill!

I really like this grilling basket. The non-stick feature is great. The only thing I had a problem with is that you need to cut any veggies you are grilling kind of thick so that they do not slip through parts of the basket. It works great for any kinds of fish or meat. I like how you can adjust the basket to different levels, and clean up is a breeze. Nothing stuck to the basket, and a little soap and hot water did the job.

The Cuisinart nonstick, gourmet, outdoor grilling grilling basket is fantastic! The 12" x 9" basket is the perfect size to hold plenty of food; it's not too hard causing it to be heavy and bulky yet still has plenty of room to grill a full meal. The 4" high sides and top grate keep food from falling out and the long, rubber-coated handle prevent hands from getting too close to the heat. In the past, I've avoided buying items like this because they are so difficult to clean and often don't fit in the dishwasher. This basket does not fit in my dishwasher either yet the nonstick surface is easy to clean so it was not a problem! I highly recommend this item!

Finally, a grill basket that doesn't let my food fall through or stick. Cuisinart - Non-Stick Grilling Basket works great for veggies and fish. The seasoning that was on both my fish and vegetables did even stick. The handle is long enough to where you don't burn yourself. The basket itself is adjustable, you can fit just about anything in it. I've never been this pleased with a grill basket.

Hi Larry. The "top" of the basket hooks into the back of the bottom. Then the "handle" of the top snaps into the handle of the bottom.
