Love the ability to have a large LP tank on the grill. I have bought off brands of this adapter in the past and the gas flow was not nearly as good and the strength of the hose was much better.

I have now purchased my third hose and they keep rupturing while attached to tank and grill. There is no regulator on this hose and I open the tank slowly while attached. I think there is a design defect in this hose or the grill itself.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We are sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your Weber Q when you connect this adapter hose. The regulator is attached to your Weber Q, and when attached with the adapter, the grill can go under bypass. When you receive this accessory, please follow these steps. 1. Open the lid 2. Make sure the control knob is in the off position. 3. Fully disconnect your tank from the rubber hose and reconnect it. 4. Open your LP tank slowly fully open. 5. Wait 1 full minute. 6. Turn the control knob to start/high (first position to the left) 7. Hit your igniter 8. Close the lid to preheat to 500-550°F If you continue to experience issues, please reach our support team. I'm about to replace my hose for the second time. Darn squirrels have chewed again! Weber needs to update this hose with a covering to help prevent squirrel damage. For the price this hose costs, it's ridiculous. My grill is less than two months old - so sorry I chose it and will never buy another Weber.

Hello. We are very sorry to hear about the trouble with your adapter hose. You would still be able to use the grill with a disposable LP canister, but in the meantime, we recommend the following to keep wildlife away from your grill: 1. Covering the grill when not in use. 2. Keeping your grill as clean as possible. Check out our cleaning tips here. 3. Using an animal deterrent. I purchased a genuine Weber adapter hose to use with my Weber Q about 8 years ago. Have not used it much and usually leave it attached to the tank and grill under a covered patio during the summer grilling months. Always turn the gas off at the tank and let the propane burn out at the end of the grilling session to relieve pressure in the hose. However, the last time I changed out the propane cylinder I noticed oil dripping out of the collar at the tank end. After doing a little research, I found that oily plasticizers leaching from rubber high pressure propane hoses is a common issue. These hoses should come with a warning to always disconnect the hose from the appliance and the tank when not in use. Don't know yet if the oil has damaged the regulator in any way. Perhaps someone at Weber can offer some insight on this issue.

The adapter hose is very good. I wish rodent would frequently chew on the hose. Maybe create a rodent guard. Also make it more available in box stores. It took me a month to get it.

Used this adapter hose for about a year and a half. As others have experienced the white collar inside the green knob came apart. Without this white collar the hose cannot make a connection with the propane tank. I would not recommend purchasing this hose, it is not designed to last.

I have this item about 8 months. Worked fine until the white gasket broke. And not from abuse. Can't get propane from tank to q1200grill.

I had two Weber hoses fail at the same time leaving me no way to cook dinner while camping this weekend. The white plastic piece in both hoses broke apart. I had to borrow a couple of green cylinders to finish out the weekend. Now having to replace two hoses, the cost of Weber's hoses and how long they last, I will have to consider another brand.

Same issue as a bunch of the other reviews here. Small white plastic piece inside the green end broke into pieces. I've had the hose for 5 years or so, but something like this shouldn't be the reason the whole thing is now useless. It should be something we can replace easily, like a rubber hose washer. Disappointed and leaving a 1 star review like the others. The rest of the hose is perfectly fine.

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
