Things We Love:

Infrared Technology

Bromic Tungsten 300 and 500 Smart-Heat Natural Gas or Propane Patio Heaters take advantage of infrared heat, which is one of the most efficient warming methods available. Rather than heating only the surrounding air like most patio heaters do, these Bromic models produce infrared waves that travel through the air until they encounter a person or object. Once contact is made, the radiant heat will warm whatever it touches.

This all-important feature allows the 300 and 500 series heaters to convert a higher percentage of its fuel into heat and to directly warm whatever objects or people they’re facing. On top of that, radiant heat doesn’t waste energy heating the air it moves through and isn’t lost to slight wind or rising air. In fact, both of these Bromic series boast wind resistance up to 8 mph, making them ideal additions to any outdoor space.

Built with Safety in Mind

Bromic’s 300 and 500 series gas heaters pair ultra-efficient radiant heat with a safe and reliable design. When wired into smart system controls, these units feature automatic re-ignition that gives you the luxury to simply ‘set and forget’ the temperature of your heater. If the pilot light is extinguished, your Bromic Tungsten patio heater will attempt to relight the flame 3 times. If this safety measure can’t restore the flame in your heating element, the flame-failure safety control will immediately shut off your heater's fuel.

For those who prioritize convenience and durability alongside safety, these Bromic models are the way to go. Bromic offers universal brackets that let you switch between 300 and 500 series heaters with no extra wiring required, and you don’t have to worry about tampering or dirt buildup thanks to the units’ brushed stainless steel finish casing. Owners of commercial or residential spaces can rest easy knowing their Bromic natural gas or propane heaters will last for years to come.

Directional Heat

Unlike traditional patio heaters that radiate warmth outward in a circle, Bromic’s natural gas and propane models are built to evenly distribute heat to specific areas. Each 300 and 500 series heater comes with a bi-directional pivot joint that can rotate as much as 25 degrees on each side, making it easy to adjust the flow of heat. These units can also be placed on walls or ceilings using mounting kits ranging from 9 to 41 inches for truly customized heating.

If your outdoor area has a low clearance, simply attach a series-specific heat deflector to protect your mounting surface. This will also provide more weather resistance and directional heat for your Bromic outdoor heater. Your gas patio heater can even be wired into a Smart system that lets you completely control how you heat your outdoor space.

Things To Consider:

Keep in mind, you’ll need a licensed plumber or other gas professional to handle the install. Question:
does this heater has temperature controller to make it high and low?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi May. Bromic gas heaters aren't adjustable. However, we do have Sunstar heaters which do have high and low settings - www.bbqguys.com/sunstar/glass-48-inch-35000-btu-natural-gas-patio-heater-w-adjustable-mounting-kit-n7-sgl1560 We also have SunPak TSH Two-Stage heaters - www.bbqguys.com/sunpak/tsh-48-inch-34000-btu-natural-gas-two-stage-infrared-patio-heater-black-s34-b-tsh-ng

Question:
Can this heater be installed at an downward angle greater than 55 degress?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi, Ed. The angle of installation is determined by the mounting bracket, and is intended to ensure that minimum clearances to combustibles is met.

Asked by EdAnswered by Wesley

Question:
With the clearance 14" above, is it the same below? I wanted to hang the heater then mount a TV below it. I built a wood cabinet to house the TV, and was wondering the clearance needed below, and if a heat shield is needed below, too?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi, Jim. Bromic specifies a minimum of 8 feet directly below the heater as a clearance to combustibles. They do not manufacture a heat shield for below. The safest place to mount a television would be at least 3 feet to the side of the heater.

Question:
I know there is the heat deflector. So, with that installed, what is the clearance needed mounting under a deck that has an 'under deck' system installed?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi, Jim. With the Bromic Heat Shield installed, the clearance to combustibles overhead is reduced to 14 inches. All other clearances remain the same.

Question:
Do I need an electrician to install hardwired switch to start the heater
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi George, this heater comes equipped with a three-prong plug that can be plugged directly into a standard outlet and operated using the on/off switch supplied to the socket. Any other type of power installation should be completed by a licensed electrician.

Question:
Can this unit be used in a enclosed garage?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi there! This unit is for outdoor installation only. Any enclosures must have a permanent opening, so a garage will not provide the proper ventilation. The heater should be installed in above ground open-air situations with natural ventilation and without stagnant areas.

Free Shipping on orders over $49

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
