Question:
I have an existing kitchen lined with fire bricks, do I still need the insulation jacket
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Selvin. If there are no combustibles mixed in with your fire bricks, then no.

Asked by selvinAnswered by Joey, BBQGuys Expert

Answer:
We installed this around 3 to 4 years ago. Our contractor said that it was required because we had wood framing but if you have bricks it might not be required by code but does provide extra safety.

Question:
I've purchased the BLZ-4LTE32-NG, I'm assuming that this marries up to that grill? Also, how is the grill attached to the Insulted Jacket?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Thanks for asking, Matt. This will definitely fit with your BLZ-4LTE32-NG model grill, and it should slide in to place once the jacket has been set. We also recommend that you refer to a licensed professional for more information over installing built-in grills and insulation jackets.

Question:
Will this insert work if using the Blaze Grill Cart? I'm using a grill cart, that is close proximity to a wood privacy wall
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi, thanks for asking. This will not work with the grill on the cart, it is designed for use only when building the grill in to combustible materials. We recommend maintaining at least 3 feet from any wall, especially one of wood, to avoid any permanent damage or harm.

Question:
If the insulated jacket lip sits on the counter top which Will Be granite then the measurements for the cutout should include those 2", correct?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Lynda! The cutout dimensions for model # BLZ-4-IJ is 33-inch width, 22-1/4-inch depth and 9-5/8-inch height. The cutout width will be smaller than the overall width of the jacket so the jacket lip has somewhere to sit. Hope this helps.

Asked by LyndaAnswered by Tiffany

Question:
Does it come with installation instructions and are they available online somewhere? The Blaze Cutout Specification sheet is not very clear on what is needed for this and I want to verify I have the kitchen designed properly.
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Joseph, thanks for asking! The cutout dimensions for this insulated jacket are 33" W x 9 5/8" H x 22 1/4" D. If you want to match this on the Cutout Specifications sheet, you should be able to find the model number of this item in there and its listed dimensions. We also recommend that a licensed contractor perform the installation of any outside kitchen items.

Question:
Is this needed for a propane grill?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Roderick! Yes, this insulated jacket is needed for any Blaze gas grill that is being installed into an island made with combustible materials. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at 877-743-2269 and we'll be happy to help!

Asked by RoderickAnswered by Hunter

Question:
Why do I need this?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Brian. An insulated jacket is required if you plan to install your grill into an island or countertop that is made of a combustible material or features combustible materials within the recommended clearance distance around the grill..

Asked by BrianAnswered by Joey

Question:
If used, does this remove the need for venting below the grill?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi DAN! This would not remove the need for venting below the grill. Your enclosure will still require venting.

Asked by DANAnswered by Dylan

Question:
Does this jacket need to be screwed or glued into place? This arrived and does seem to have a lip so confused as to the last response that it does not have a lip and needs support. Are you positive it needs support from underneath?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi, Blake. You won't need to screw or glue the jacket in place. The edges do have a lip that rests on your counter top. Your Blaze grill would then slide into the jacket as it would in a standard cutout.

Asked by BlakeAnswered by Seth

Question:
Will this insulated jacket work with the Lion 32 inch grill?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
No. This is designed to only work with the Blaze 32-inch gas grill.

When Will My Item Arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3–5 business days. If your item or order is large, it may ship via one of our third-party freight carriers, which deliver from semi trucks with lift gates. Freight delivery is much more complicated than standard parcel shipping — you must schedule a drop-off time, be present for the delivery, and move items from the curb to your residence, among other differences. Sound stressful? If you prepare in advance with our guide to freight delivery, it doesn’t have to be.

We strongly encourage reading the entire freight delivery guide, but here’s a quick snapshot of what you need to be ready for when you order a large package:

  • Your freight carrier will call you to schedule a delivery window of about 4–8 hours
  • You’re required to be physically present at the specified delivery location during the scheduled window
  • Freight shipments are carried in semi trucks, which have lift gates to assist with unloading
  • Freight deliveries are dropped off at the curb and no further — not up the driveway, not the porch, not the garage, and most definitely not the backyard — so it’s on you to transport packages to their intended location
  • For an easier time hauling items to your home or backyard, arrange for at least 2 helpers to be on standby during your delivery window
  • You must sign for the shipment to indicate that you’ve accepted the delivery

Again, we recommend reading our entire breakdown of freight delivery so you can become familiar with the process. Trust us when we say that getting caught off guard with the strict requirements of freight delivery can lead to a whole lot of headaches.

No Restocking Fee

Most companies charge a restocking fee. We just don't do business that way.

Message to our customers: Like all retailers and manufacturers, we’re currently experiencing well-publicized supply-chain issues and steel shortages that have caused some orders to be delayed. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences arising from this situation, and we assure you we’re making every effort to solve these problems with our vendors and logistical partners.

So, why are some orders being affected? Major ports around the world are still operating at reduced capacity because of COVID-19 restrictions — on average, container boats sit at port for about 3 weeks before being unloaded. Combine these shipping inefficiencies with a scarcity of natural resources, and virtually every industry has been crippled to some degree. Yet we acknowledge that it’s our duty to meet these challenges head-on and work toward solutions so you can enjoy more time outdoors with the people you love. We appreciate your patience as we strive to smooth out our supply chain, and we thank you for choosing us for your grilling and outdoor living needs.
