Long time Weber Performer grill owner. Stepped up to the Summit charcoal and have not looked back. Temp control is dramatically easier, indirect cooking is easier with the deflector. Higher temperatures easily reached for searing. Low temps can be maintained for smoking. Cost will sting a bit , but you will quickly forget that.

Well designed, so it is really easy to use. The insulated shell and gasket seal mean that it holds temperature very well.
Generally great grill... small air leak in front left of center. Shouldn't be for a grill this expensive. O/w no issues.

Overall, I am enjoying the Summit grilling center. The top vent works well, but changes setting if I open the grill. I find storage a big problem. I ended up just using a plastic bin under the basket to keep most of my accessories in. It is far from ideal and looks cheap. The table needs a couple decent sized drawers instead of the basket and hard to use charcoal bin.

I started grilling before I was ten years old. My father taught me with an original kettle grill. Over the past 40 years, I have owned numerous Weber Grills, all excellent. I had been using a performer for about 15 years, getting to the point where it needed to be replaced. When looking at the Summit, was originally put off by the price. I really wanted it and after receiving encouragement from my wife, I bought it. After the first use, my angst about the price was gone. AWESOME! The temperature consistency is absolutely incredible. Also have found that the charcoal use is much more efficient than with the old performer. I am now learning the art of smoking, so far so good. Highly recommended.
Weber took all the great features of the ceramic grills, eliminated the hassles and built the best kettle grill ever.

Awesome grill! We just love cooking on it. Have owned many weber grills and this one is the best ever.
I've had the grill for a couple years... biggest issue: Charcoal on the left (Facing the grill) turns off while Charcoal on the right still on... Airflow is really bad!!! I have been using half the grill for the longest time... Only exception when I put a lot of coal and fast cook stakes, burgers, sausages... etc. Otherwise any good piece of meet I want to cook for over 1hr the grill sucks! Again, Charcoal goes off, temperature drops... too expensive to have airflow suck so much it renders half the grill useless...

From low and slow to high heat grilling, this Summit Does it well. Price is steep but overall great quality, It's like getting a smoker and a grill all in one. It holds smoking temperatures for hours. I've done ribs, steaks and chicken and they all came out great.
I have owned or currently own gas, pellet, ceramic, kettle and WSM grills. I have to say this is the best one of them all. Combines convenience with the smoke flavor we all love. It is my "go to" grill every time and I use it at least once every week. I have done long slow cooks - pork shoulder and beef jerky to searing a steak and my current favorite wood fire pizza. Like many of you I debated longer than I should have about purchasing because of the price. If you have ever purchased a Weber grill before you know they are not the least expensive. However, like any product their is the price and then their is the value. This grill is an excellent value if you consider its versatility, quality of the the build and you know it is supported by the very best customer service in the industry.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
