| Cat's Meow!I bought this thing on a lark after my sister-in-law made snide comments about my "meatloaf burgers." She called them that because I never seemed to be able to make a round burger. Well, this little gadget solved that problem. The burgers come out of the press nice and round, and of uniform thickness. Cleanup up is easy: I just toss it on the dishwasher's top rack. A suggestion for using it: if you have a lot of burgers to make spray a little cooking spray pn the surfaces that come in contact with the meat so the burgers don't stick. | Perfect PattiesI have flattened ground beef patties with every imaginable method at hand: cooking pan lids, palm of hand, large peanut butter jars (you should have seen my Pop's eyes grow wide when I grabbed the PB jar while preparing hamburgers - he thought I was going to add PB to the meat!), and a heavy grilling spatula to name a few. The Weber Burger Press takes the frustration out of forming patties. It's convenient to use and produces uniform, firm, and easily-flipped burger meat(patty doesn't fall apart during handling). I like the "dimple" feature in the unit for providing a flat burger to serve off the grill onto a bun. Clean-up is easy and sanitary. I will admit to sandwiching the meat between two sheets of waxed paper during the pressing process to facilitate patty handling. | Not the novelty item I thought it was.I looked at these in the store, and kind of wanted one just because it's Weber. I always talked myself out of it because I thought it was a novelty thing. Well my brother gave me one for my birthday some years back, and believe you me, it's not a novelty. I use this almost every time I make burgers. I've found that if you form the burger and give it a light tap on the cutting board it'll come right out of the press. It's a nice addition to any griller's arsenal.
